Like he said a few days back, he's only started a few reserve games but this should propel him a bit closer to the first team. Would love him to get some minutes and play with that kind of youthful confidence that many lose Seriously? You're saying that 17 year olds HAVE to 'press on' and break into the first team? "Ahh, you're 18 and not played for the first team...sorry, you're not going to make it" I'm not of the opinion that you have to make it as a seventeen year old but if he's going to be successful here then pressing on at a young age is very important. We just let go loads of youth this last summer, what I'm saying is, he needed to make a big improvement. Going from a couple of reserve starts to being included in the EL squad is that improvement.
