3 first team players out through injury = worst injury crisis in Premier League history. The injuries the last few weeks have been way worse than the rest of the season too, but he's going on like we've had 10 key players out all season. I've honestly seen injury crises 10 times as bad at NUFC in the past. Times when half the team are playing out of position, you can't even remember what your best 11 is, etc.

Go away Pardew, you are really fucking annoying me with this shit  now. Seriously, it's really getting on my tits.

We went to White Hart Lane with a back four of Ramage, Taylor, Huntington and Pattison (and fucking won) and we're meant to give Pardew sympathy over this ffs. How stupid does he think we are?

He's got his goalkeeper, his back four that he had for nearly all last season and both his strikers fit, as well as two of his first choice midfield and his big summer signing.

Oh fuck off Pardew with your defeatist attitude. Said before we played Southampton and Stoke that we were already beaten mentally before the game had started with all his god damn negativity.

We are missing 2/3 player's from our best 11 and are playing fucking Wigan at home. Play to win Pardew man FFS!

What are these major injuries to key players over the last couple of years anyway? Other than Ben Arfa and Steven Taylor, I'm struggling to think of any longer than a few weeks. If anything we've been lucky having gambled on Ba's fitness and come up trumps when he was our only half capable striker for a good six months.

Worse than any other team.

He's really clutching at straws now, anything to defect criticism from himself.  Really is starting to turn into a joke.

We've been without Ryan Taylor for months.

I've come to learn these days that Pardew's words leading up to the match don't really mean anything as such. What happens on the pitch is what matters most.

They might be meaning something in the players' heads, that's the problem.

This is another cracker:

“I saw pretty good signs at Stoke. Everyone had a real good go in their positions and on any given day, we could have won that game.

“I would put that performance in any great spell we had last year. You could have stuck it in any run we had last year and not blink.

Righto.

The top and bottom of it is that we've had injuries like every other season but we've let too many go this year without replacing them and now the size of the squad has unecessarily turned a regular occurance into a much bigger and more serious problem

tbf until the last 10 it was similar to the swansea away game. we scored then never really looked in trouble. granted he's talking crap about injuries but don't they all ?

I'm sick of hearing that we've allegedly got about 10 players out with injury and that's why we're shit.

HBA

Cabaye

S Taylor

R Taylor

Shola

Gosling

Vukic

Obertan

according to Physioroom at least. Well OK, that's 8. Maybe a couple have come back since I heard 10 were out but still, only 3 of them are first teamers by anyone's reckoning, and they only got injured recently yet we've been dogshit all season. It's a bullshit excuse.

And for the record, according to the same site Wigan have nine out, one more than us. So Pardew, put a f***ing cork in it. I don't hear Martinez bleating about injuries, he's probably too busy working with his players and trying to figure out how to take 3 points off us.

Also, that tired s*** about injuiries sounds even more hollow when we were reprimanded for expecting inbound signings over the summer, being told instead we should just be grateful we'd not sold anyone. Now the same bloke is bemoaning an injury "crisis" to THREE first team players. If 3 players out mean we can't get a single point from West Ham, Swansea, Southampton or Stoke (Though Ben Arfa played the first 2 matches, and Taylor 3 so that in itself is laughable) and are now terrified of the impending visit of mighty Wigan f***ing Athletic then you really need to have a word with yourself.

The problem here is simple, and the solution is more so:

- Stop wittering on about injuries.

- Play 4-3-3

- Grow some bollocks and tell Ba to either play wide left or else f*** off. I'm past caring which he does, but he needs to do one of them or we're going to play s*** for the rest of the season.

- If you're that desperate to play 4-4-2, buy some (At least 2) proper wingers in January. And don't play Ben Arfa there because he's not a winger. So that's another problem you'll need to solve. And then after you buy them, play the wingers on the right bloody wings.

- Put Santon to right back. He's right footed, that's where he should play.

- Stop spending 80% of your training time on defence and stopping the opposition. Especially when the opposition are teams like Southampton, Stoke, West Ham and bloody Swansea

- Easier than buying 2 new wingers, just play 4-3-3 since we've got the personnel for it already.

- But still put Santon at right back. Buy a left-footed left back in January.

he is not yet sure what areas of his squad needs strengthening the most

:dowie:

What the fuck?  I sincerely hope that isn't true because every bugger else has known for the last couple of years.

In my view the January window isn’t something we can focus on at the minute in terms of a target.

That doesn't fill me with hope either.  Maybe he's playing things down for the press to manage fans expectations of the window?

Man, the table, we're 5 points behind Norwich. :scared:

Teams are pulling away from the shower of shite at the bottom too, which includes us ffs. Desperately need a win tonight [/statingtheobvious].
