Making it clear who is responsible if the required players don't arrive and not prepared to be the board's scapegoat any longer?

Does he need to do that ? I think we are all very clear on who is calling the shots

It's certainly not a bad thing to say in answer to someone asking when a player might arrive though. He does his part helping persuade a player to sign, it's not up to him to finalise the financials.

I honestly can't understand anyone having a problem with it.

/doesn't surprise me though, obviously.

In all honesty I think the Shola decision has been forced on him to an extent by the late loss of Ba and lack of wide midfield options - think we'll get a much better idea of his longer-term thinking against Norwich when we'll have more numbers back...

Why not just play a midfielder on the right? Doesn't have to be a specialist winger, just any midfielder who would surely be better out wide than Cisse?

If we don't play well and win, I hope our fans pelt him with bricks and dog s***. Shola ffs, get out of here.

Agree. The only justification for starting Ameobi up front is if Cisse was injured. He isn't injured so there is not a single excuse. This lack of preparation time malarky is utter bollocks.

I'm not sure, there's not many options really - Anita maybe, but he doesn't offer the goal threat of Cisse. And i wouldn't want to move Marv out from the middle where he's been brilliant.

Not saying I necessarily agree, I can just see why he's done it.

Ah.

Anyway, all eyes on Pardew tonight. He's made miserable decisions all season, obviously, but Arsenal was an utter embarrassment and he was largely to blame for the way in which we capitulated.
