Nobody
Aye he did a good job. Now, does anyone think Pardew would keep Wigan up? Aye.
Hanshithispantz
I cannot really see any reason why Pardew couldn't keep Wigan up tbh
Spudil
Al-Habsi Boyce Caldwell Alcaraz Figueroa Maloney McCarthy MaCarthur Beausejour Kone Di Santo 4-4-2 hoofball. Is the best he could put out providing all 1st team players stay fit all the time. Can't see it myself. Maybe by the skin of his teeth and with a lot of luck. Certinly he couldn't do it consistently. Hughesy
Aye he did a good job. Now, does anyone think Pardew would keep Wigan up? So Bruce got them to 11th and then Martinez finished 16th, 16th and 15th. Interesting.

Shays Given Tim Flowers
Didn't Bruce keep them up or am I mistaken? Just checked - he got them to 11th. Glenn Roeder's win percentage is less than 1% less than Sir Bobby's Souness' win percentage is 8% higher than Pardew's. Mick McCarthy has enjoyed more success as Manager of the Republic of Ireland than Giovanni Trappatoni. Steve Coppell oversaw Reading win the Championship with 106 points (now director at Crawley Town). Joe Kinnear was voted the Manager of the Year. John Toshack won La Liga as a manager with Real Madrid.

So just like Martinez then? And how can you even consider claiming that he 'certainly' couldn't keep them up consistently?
NEEJ
What difference does it make if Pardew could or couldn't keep Wigan up? No one gives a fuck man.
Mole_Toonfan
Besides we haven't played 4-4-2 hoofball since the 2-0 away defeat to Southampton People have serious agenda issues
dcmk
Yep. I bet this thread would look a lot different if we had managed to score a scruffy goal and they didn't.
Hanshithispantz
I don't think many people have knocked him for the the Swansea game, if we play well and lose people tend to be fairly accepting.
TherealnorthernTOON
I don't think many people have knocked him for the the Swansea game, if we play well and lose people tend to be fairly accepting. The thread does tell otherwise. We did play well(apart from some defensive issues and not managing to score) and we lost. Still people slate him. Hanshithispantz
A couple of people said he should have made a change with about 20 minutes to go, most people disagree. I don't think he's been slated for the match at all. Had we played poorly and lost it would be a different story.

Wouldn't you agree that there has been a vast improvement in results and performances since the new arrivals? If all the signs point to him turning around the situation in recent weeks, why should we get rid of him now?

We're still 15th though and 6 points off 18th so let's not act as if we're flying up the league.
Foluwashola
See this thread continues to be an absolute abomination. Full of utter freaks and foreign posers (many contaminating the middle sector of this ugly venn diagram) desperately attempting to assert their support for NUFC in the form of feigned anger at the manager. Pardew has clearly made many mistakes this season, but we find ourselves in the last 16 of the waffa and with a promising squad for next season. The man got us to fifth with a worse squad (on paper, of course). Get behind the man.

Deuce
Think he may have meant posters tbh. Either way, the whole "You're not a real fan unless you back the manager 100%!" sentiment is ludicrous.
Guest Slippery Sam
I'll make this post in here, though it could quite easily fit a lot of others. It seems that some folk can't quite accept that folk have a different opinion than themselves. Not only that, but if the opinion is different than the one they hold, it also means, therefore, that they are obviously wrong and about one rung up from earning contempt. Ffs, why can't some folk realise that this is only a message board and whatever opinions are held it does, in the grand scheme of things, not matter one jot to the real world. Cool your skin. Jelly and ice cream. Yum yum.
