You said we have many Internationals Mick.  Or is this people in glass houses now....

I did say we have many Internationals, how does that tie in with what you're getting at and glass houses, are you on the right forum?

He's been shown up this season as a defensive minded manager uncapable of implementing an effective gameplan, but let's not pretend he's not been let down by some of his supposed better players, most of whom have not played anywhere near the standard they should be capable of. Ultimately though, the buck stops with him of course.

 Agreed here. Players need to take some blame too.

Cabaye is nowhere near as good as what some people make him to be.

Except he is. Cabaye is very good.

Even the best central midfielders in the world would look dejected playing for this team at the moment.

Looking at their former clubs Tiote is a holding mf.

Sissoko and Cabaye should be ahead of him and then a three out of Hatem, Guoffran, Marv and Cisse.

I would leave Guti and Santon out for the rest of the season. Both seem they've had enough this year.

Don't agree this is top 6-7 team on paper in anybodies reckoning. It just has no attacking routines or interplays drilled into it.

You could say that about Swansea or Wba and you could have said that about Liv for the first half  of the season. ;)

So you believe if we and Swansea swapped coaches that Swansea would still be above us then?

The goals are missing because we have no idea how to attack as a team and that's down to the way we are being played as a team.

It really is a joke. We've got one goalscorer in the entire squad, man.

Yet people think we can finish top 7 with it.  It's pathetic.

Nees my man, what did you think we could have finished at the beginning of the season? Just curious. No calling out or in-fighting or stupid arguing here. Just perfectly curious.

9th.  That was with Demba Ba in the side.

Remind me, how many goalscorers have Everton in their squad?

Gouffran, Cabaye, and HBA all can score and have scored goals.

We have plenty of goal potential in this line-up as is, it's time we got away from this mentality that goals can only and should only come from center forwards.

I was one who grossly overrated what we could do this season as I thought our end of season run and a kick-on with signings (that didn't happen) would basically have us firing again. I didn't forsee Ba losing his shit wide left, Cisse being out of form, Cabaye being depressed, Tiote forgetting how to play, and our defense turning to shit again.

I'll stand up and say that I grossly overrated us.

So have Swansea yet they have been up there all year, until they went on their holidays after the cup final.

If we actually had a manager that had a clue how to set up a team to attack we would have no problem scoring goals.

Majority of teams in this league only have one main goalscorer anyway but they manage because they actually know how to attack as a team.

I have a hard time believing that Swansea and West Brom have better players than us tbh, they just have vastly superior coaches.

Gouffran

He's scored 1 deflected goal.  Comeback when you have some better evidence.

Dyer and Routledge have been morphed into players who get chances to score in the PL and have the confidence now to look for goals. Getting chances to score is MUCH MORE important than having goalscorering specialist. Most sides bar the top 5 only have 1/2 out and out goalscorers.

His career in Ligue 1 is entirely invalidated? Scored plenty of goals, while playing as both a striker and winger, for Bordeaux and Caen before that.
