Super Duper Branko Strupar
Pish poor I'm afraid. Didn't look like scoring at all and were ran ragged in midfield.
Kaizero
My, that was one of the most boring 90 minutes I've seen in a while.
Mole_Toonfan
Ba has looked loads better than Cisse so far this season like. Cisse just doesn't work with a partner he's one of those strikers that work better as the only central striker. Cisse won't get anywhere near last season's total if he's partnered with someone. Also i don't agree on Chelsea i don't think they have been that good, we have just been average they just did enough. If we played anything like our best we would have got something IMO. JB
Stop with the wanking over Chelsea, Jesus Christ.
Jayson
First time Ba's recieved the ball and been able to turn on it, ofcourse they have no chemistry
Guest BooBoo
We look stale, unfit and HBA aside, short of ideas. Still, at least we kept all our players so it's been a terrific summer.
Yorkie
Played 4-4-2, played shite. No surprises whatsoever.
Sima
Grim. Towel chucked in after their second goal.

TBF, Chelsea took there foot off the gas in the second half.
Tisd09
Could have hit that then. I'm not panicking about Cisse, Ba start last season just as bad. We were very poor 1st half, there was some encouragement in the 2nd half. Though you don't want to take things too lightly Villa are definitely beatable at St James'. Crying out for a good right back plus a good option of a striker off the bench.
juniatmoko
no pressure from us today... missed tiote

It's 1 game against a side who will be challenging for the title ffs
Mike
If you didn't know, you'd never guess Ba and Cisse are international team mates.
Mr. Snrub
Didn't play that badly. Ba and Cisse didn't offer enough upfront Ben Arfa is fucking brilliant
chicago_shearer
That was not a top 6 showing. I think Everton would have made them work much harder than that. Improvement needed.
BONTEMPI
A yard off the pace, not good enough. A fit side from last season would have put these under a hell of alot more pressure. Manager and coaching staff to blame for simply not being ready.

Super Duper Branko Strupar
There can be no denying the 442/443 debate imo, not against teams like Chelsea anyway.

ChrisMcQuillan
According to a lot of people on Twitter, criticising United For Newcastle atm, we need to get behind the team and not worry about signing a new RB and back-up striker because "that way, we don't be broke." Crumpy Gunt
Another example there to why the Ba-Cisse partnership won't work. Link-up play is non existent. We would have done better with Shola today.
Alberto2005
Rubbish. HBA only positive.
Jayson
They closed off the delivery to the strikers, it took us out of the game. That simple. Barfa was dictating much of our play, but we werent penetrating their midfield to the strikers with ground passes atall.
Skeletor
Today's game made our pursuit of Carroll look even more bizarre. None of our team can cross the ball for shit. All in all though we didn't play that badly and a silly mistake is what ultimately cost us the game. Once again we showed we need to be playing 4-3-3 as our players are just not suited to playing 4-4-2 (becoming the most frustrating thing for me). Mike
Hazard is depressingly good. That dude has entirely too much game.
