He actually said "very, very close to signing him" but "they'd be in a position to say yay or nay by Monday or Tuesday". "Very happy with how the deal's going atm" Did he mention the Gomis deal at all? Didn't catch the whole interview. Not in any way shape or form. He was fairly vague and non-committal, he certainly didn't promise anything but I think things will be sorted either way shortly just reading between the lines.
