Santon was pretty rubbish today and Tiote although played well overall he loses possession in dangerous areas. Cisse was tidy in possession but wasted on wing. Two mostly encouraging, bright, excellent attacking performances with key players missing UTTERLY CRUSHED by amateur hour defending. It took a lot of balls to keep coming back again and again against Arsenal only to be let down by horrendous mistakes. We can only hope heads don't drop too much after a scoreline like that. Agree with that. / Defenders making basic errors / Pardew not offering any protection to the defense (should have switched to two orthodox wingers) / We were absolutely exhausted whilst Arsenal had a day off They are the reasons why we got absolutely trounced. At times Marveaux, Ba and Obertan were sublime in attack, but with 9 senior players out of our already very thin squad, and a porous defence which threw in the towel halfway through the second half, we were justifiably well and truly humped. But I have no confidence we will actually do this.... the mindset is that we have all that injured talent not contributing and "taking" revenue.
