Has to be fake, it’s against the rules on the placement and size of sponsorship.

 

Yep:

 

(i) Playing kit

(a) On the Clothing of a Player on the field of play, the following areas shall be permitted to be used for Advertising

One single area not exceeding 250 square centimetres on the front of the shirt (see Fig 10)

That’s marketing at its best

 

At a time when lot of people complaining about the amount of betting sponsors there are

 

1. Make shirt look horrific so everyone talks about it and paddy power

2. Have the player play in it everyone talks about it

3. Announce it was fake and there will be no sponsor thanks to paddypower and everyone talks about it

4. Everyone says how great paddypower is for doing that

I saw Man City had a sponsor above the players names' during their game against West Ham. Hope it doesn't becomes a thing because it made their already horrible jersey even worse.

It’s against the rules in the Premier League.

fuck that, love shirts with loads of sponsors myself...french ones etc.
