Yorkie Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 IMPORTANT I have booked the NORTHUMBRIA pitch at Coach Lane Campus in Longbenton for a 2 1/2 hour slot, from 10:30am till 1pm. The Four Lane Ends metro link is a five-minute walk away. Pitch is rubber crumb so I would say metal studs are a no-go on this surface, however I'm sure people have worn blades in the past. Astro trainers are obviously acceptable. Shin pads obligatory. http://i.imgur.com/w8qMoTD.jpg Cost altogether is £117 so will be splitting that accordingly, based on how many turn up. Basically we're looking at £4-5 a head. Plenty of time to play the game and sort yourself out before the Newcastle game, if you're going. Would love to see plenty of people up for this. I shouldn't need to sell the idea; they've always been a good laugh with a reasonably competitive nature. In the past, the standard of football has ranged from poor-to-decent, so you don't need to be dead good. That's not what it's really about. Was in nets not exactly sure maybe landed on it funny, but needed an operation cause my 5th metacarpal was 1 cm displaced.
