Newcastle Fan
More than happy to get rid of him with that fee, he was going to be nothing but trouble had he stayed.
TRon
We're losing a player who wasn't playing for us, he's been available and clearly didn't want to play. Talking all summer about wanting to go. Some people acting all high and mighty, going on like our very own Messi being sold is a travesty and anyone pleased is a "moron", "changing history" etc. Nearly every game last season ended with us all frustrated at how little he contributed and how uninterested he looked. Claiming anything else is surely the history changing? He didn't want to be here...we got a ridiculously over-inflated fee for him. Finding the humour in that doesn't make you a moron. Sometimes it's better just to say nothing. Trust in your manager who has credentials which would no doubt put you to shame when it comes to football. Altamullan
Rafa's building a real 'team', MS was never going to be a part of it, for a variety of reasons. £30m is a fantastic result all round. By January we will hopefully be a more attractive prospect for people like Knockaert with a view to building for the charge towards the Premiership and for the season beyond. This is a good day for NUFC.

Segun Oluwaniyi
Sissoko and his non performance's were one big reason why we got relegated last season. It was soon as we put Townsend in his position that we actually ended in some form. Sissoko was quite good at the same time as well. Rather than focusing on one of the few very talented players for not carrying team like Greg Jennings, I'll choose to focus on the rubbish ones for continuing to be rubbish. I am happy for Sissoko, tbh. I think he will do well surrounded by good players, competent management, and a coherent footballing system. None of those things were provided for him here. He could have been so much more for NUFC, but it was more a case of the club wasting him, than anything else, imo. It made no sense for him to be here this season anyway. He never made any pretensions about this (Even from the time he arrived at NUFC) as Townsend did, and the acclaim he won at the Euros will not have changed his mindset. He has though, we've signed Atsu and Ritchie this window and let Sissoko and Townsend go. They might even turn out to be better, it isn't that much of a stretch I still think we needed another winger, another striker, and another proper central midfielder but we've got enough quality in there to get out of this league. Kanji
What Sissoko does at Spurs doesn't fucking matter anymore man. the fact is now we are worse off team and need to make sure we spend the money to replace him in the next 2 windows.

Don't disagree, almost everyone looks better in a better team. He wasn't one of the main reasons we went down, although he didn't exactly do much to help us stay up either. Sometimes sales just happen, the most unfortunate thing is how much of a dick he's acted.

Heron
Now now folks. Our squad has been rebuilt for purpose and that purpose and target is to gain promotion to the Premier League whilst maintaining the high level of fan interest within the club to keep the club's finances e tremely healthy. I fucking hate Ashley but he, Charnley and obviously Mr Benitez have had an outstanding summer and actually all of the above will have arsed on seats, positive fan movements (Gallowgate flags) and nothing but positivity within the ranks. We could go back to the Premiership super healthy and capable of developing a real strong outfit. I don't trust Ashley to not be a cunt again but fuck me...about 10 of the last 16 years have been mediocre to shit so am I fuck gonna whinge about missing "quality" individuals when we have a squad fit for purpose. Have faith in Rafa and just enjoy it man...
