SiLvOR
Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton This is what happens when you have 85 year old, county FA blokes, who have never kicked a ball in their lives, running the game. Not a clue! Nail on the head.
nufcjb
Three men on my wanted list..McManaman, Whelan and Halsey..would chokeslam all three straight to hell..
Crumpy Gunt
I think some folk need to get a grip...... Its over and done. Lets hope Millwall do them in the semi and they get relegated. Ginola
This is a fucking joke
Skeletor
I like to think Whelan would fall from the DW stands onto a pile of spikes like Saruman if Wigan are relegated on the last day any way. Once they're relegated he has nothing to live for any way. Just a shit Mike Ashley.
henke
The FA bottled it, plain and simple. They knew he should have sat the rest of the season out but they don't have the bollocks to do what's right.

You don't think football fans (note: not Newcastle fans specifically) have a right to be aggrieved over this issue?
Wullie
Hate this fucking shit they peddle about "statistically", referees get most decisions correct. Aye well it will work out in your favour when you're counting every throw in, every goal kick, you fucking tool.

Guest Slippery Sam
“In the summer it was agreed that retrospective action should only be taken in respect of incidents which have not been seen by the match officials." That is from the FA statement. That line, above, is clear to me that retrospective action in this case, regardless of what is written later in their statement, can be taken as it is clear that none of the officials saw the actual incident. If either of them had seen the actual incident then McManaman would have been sanctioned at the time. Full stop. Seriously thinking about seeing a lawyer tomorrow about this. JH
What's really frustrating is we're being royally screwed over, but nothing will be done about it. Corrupt as fuck and it's just being allowed to happen.
Mr. Snrub
I hope they stop up so they have to come to St James' next season. Also wouldn't mind 5k of our lot going to their shit rugby stadium and wrecking it.
Yorkie
I hope they stop up so they have to come to St James' next season. We'd have to go to the JJB again though. Really hope they go down, regardless of this whole debacle.

Does ranting utter shite mean the FA will change their minds does it? Just fucking move on man. He was never getting charged when it didn't happen yesterday. ikri
It sets a pretty dodgy precedent for future charges too. What happens if a linesman at the other end of the pitch has a clear view of an incident but doesn't flag? Any competent club contesting a charge in the future can point at an unobstructed view by any official they can claim that the incident was seen and no action taken. A shocking decision by the FA. Truly disgusting.
Tiresias
Absolutely fucking fuming to find this when got home. The linesmen who 'saw' it but didn't think it was a foul should never work in football again. Disgraceful, the FA is toothless and a thug who may have ruined a career can happily play on without so much as a slap on the wrist.
Guest TheGreatBeardo
Why did it have to come to this? I can't believe I am listening to talkSPORT. Maybe I can sue the FA for the inevitable IQ loss caused by their incompetence.
Guest Affy
Now just waiting for a statement from SJP - hope its reflects whats been said on this board (minus the swearing) but i doubt it
jdckelly
heard a great point there on talksport, is the whole appeal process not rereffing a game? whats the difference
Guest Roy the Irish Magpie
FA definitely need to copy the FFF who have proper order. Just the other week Valentin Eysseric was banned for eleven whole matches for breaking Jeremy Clement's leg in similar fashion. He is now out for the season too and not just the player with the broken leg for such a rotten act and got what he deserved where's this scouse dickhead gets away with it completely. FA are a fucked up and corrupt organisation.

nufcjb
Gutted the thug has two weeks to hide in one of Whelan's barn somewhere in that shithole of a place before disgracefully runs out on to a football filed again..would have wanted him to be villiffied this weekend
