Mole_Toonfan
Wouldn't have used Jonas and Obertan as the best examples there Part of why I assume people are suggesting the idea is that they don't think Santon could be any worse than either of those have been. Tbf Jonas and Obertan should be only back ups at best and now Ben Arfa is coming back to fitness at least in the league they will be. Also the reason Mourinho converted him to a fullback is exactly the reasons i mentioned, Santon's best attacking strength is driving into space and if he was converted to a winger he would have no space thus taking away a lot of his attacking strengths. Pata
Possibility of playing him at full back and moving Santon forward ?? You can see that we are not used to having any depth as we instantly start to move players out of their preferred positions.
LiquidAK
My dream is that in 3 seasons or so, when Debuchy has started to decline, we have Haidara at LB and Santon at RB, both coming into their prime as world-class fullbacks.

I'm worried the thinking behind Haidara is that Santon will attact significant interest soon enough, don't believe a lot of the Italian rumours as don;t think he's that interested and not going to pay what we want. Doubt we'll sell him that soon though. I think his value will be much higher after next season than this summer. Want to hold onto him long time, he;s a very gifted player. Excited by Haidara too though

He's had a good season overall but he does tend to have a run of games, where is he off the pace.
TRon
Looked rock hard against Metalist in Europe. I wouldn't have any worries about putting him in for premier games either.

Tiresias
May be worth starting him ahead of Santon right now. May also be worth starting Santon on the wing instead of Jonas...

Alberto2005
Might be back, implied he'd be a sub at Swansea So he's going to drop Jonas and start Santon as a winger for 60-75 minutes and then re-introduce HBA.

True, but hugely impressed with Haidara Oh, me too. He looked really solid on Thursday, but I think he should have to work for his place- its not like he's replacing or competing against Simpson. LoveItIfWeBeatU
He spent half time doing a full warm up on the pitch with one of the coaching staff. I thought he must be coming on at the start of the second half. That's what usually happens when a player is out on the pitch at half time.

Mick
That was MYM You're right and it was good to see, he only had 3 or 4 minutes so went out at half time to make sure he was ready for the start of the 2nd half.

In my defense, they both look similar from 150 metres away. I assumed it was Haïdara as MYM had already been playing. I suppose it makes sense as he'd only been on a couple of minutes.
