We definitely need to strengthen at CB so (touch wood) there's some truth in this and we can seal the deal. I'm more worried about how quiet it is on the striker front tbf Tbf when we were after Remy everyone was talking about how quiet it is on the CB front and couple of days later this happens..... if we can get this done i expect us to spend the rest of the window trying to replace Ba. Our defence has let us down time and time again this season so a new first choice CB makes absolute sense (and it has done for the last 2 years). Of course, any CB coming in from a different league will need time to adapt but I'm hopeful of a Bassong-esque first season... Please get this done.
