Mole_Toonfan
All I can think of is reasons why people won't come. Haven't a clue what Ashley's going to do. Let's assume Caulkin isn't talking out of his arse, of which he's given no reason to think so as of now. That a head coach is wanted and not a manager, that would mean the list of British coaches who would accept little to no control over transfers. That list is very very short, it cuts down the possible options rather significantly. John Carver would Well yeah it's not impossible but the list is rather short I'd say. Ikon
Paul Clement would be an interesting one. Is he the one who managed Lyon once? Or am i totally wrong?

Magpie
Paul Clement would be an interesting one. Is he the one who managed Lyon once? Or am i totally wrong? Assistant to Ancelotti at Chelsea, Paris and now Madrid.

bodson
What is Dragan Stojkovic doing now? Wenger praised him as his successor a few years back. Could be an interesting move.
TRon
The only thing I know is that the new manager will be british and cheap. And more importantly available for nowt ie not currently employed so not attracting a compensation fee. Which is why it won't be McClaren either, he signed a new 3 year contract quite recently. sturla
Last time Newcastle were appointing a manager the attraction to the job was at a all time low. Remember Jol becoming available, but was quick to announce he would not go for the job because of Newcastles treatment of Hughton. Newcastles track record was about 5 managers in 2 years (Sam, Keegan, Kinnear, Shearer, Hughton). Hopefully Newcastle is a more attractive option now, having the same manager for 4 years (and not sacking him in the end) and showing that the club will stick with their manager through bad times (don't think many other clubs would have stuck with Pardew through the horrible bad spells he has had). It is however clear that whoever is appointed that he will have little to say over transfers. A continental manager would be the best fit for us. jdckelly
All I can think of is reasons why people won't come. Haven't a clue what Ashley's going to do. How come? Massive stadium, huge fan base, a very decent squad, lots of publicity, if it goes wrong can blame Ashley low pay, best players sold every season and never properly replaced, 0 ambitions for the club to improve beyond where it is right now and the cups held in disdain by ashley and co. Bad Mongo
Glenn Roeder urges Newcastle United to think big and land Jurgen Klopp as boss http://t.co/5uufAMmObU #NUFC That's awfully nice of him, but he needs to take into consideration that we're a club with no ambition.
