Its more a surprise he hasn't been picked up before Wigan signed him, wouldn't put it down to scouting too much. Fair enough didnt know this but I'm sure you agree that Wigan has always found some fantastic players on the cheap who were later sold for a lot of money. Now Figueroa he was a great find, plucking him from Honduras was a great move.... i seem to remember they plucked Antonio Valencia and Wilson Palacios from nowhere as well too. Witan got him on loan and the rest is history. Anyone remember how good Amr Zaki was in his first 6 months at Wigan, some labeling him the next Shearer.
