Players that are allowed to shine and have a team built around them show their quality like that because they have much more opportunity to.

At Madrid, Ronaldo is that player. If Bale went there now he would still be as good, but you wouldn't see it half as much.

Falcao you mean? :bluestar:

Wey, Falcao at Athletico as well.

2 wins in 10 for West Ham, sinking like a stone at the moment, got at least an 8 goal swing on the bottom lot though. Would be lovely if Fat Sam and the mackems both got dragged in to the dropzone shenanigans while we meander away.

Id still say van Persie is the best player in the Prem, especially since he seems to be the best when it comes to 'doing it in big games', which is where Suarez hasnt impressed me.

bale is up there though.

They're absolutely shite like. Literally wouldn't want us to sign a single one of their players, think they're probably the only squad in the league I could say that about.

I'd take Jarvis like, not for anywhere near the obscene fee they spunked on him though. Get your point though. Reckon Joey O'Brien is up there with Andy Wilkinson in the anti-football players I absolutely fucking detest because they're an offence to my eyes.

I'd definitely have Diame as back up.

I don't understand what there is to even see in Jarvis. He just looks totally perfunctory to me. Not bad, just absolutely nothing special at all.

wigan and souuthampton are picking up far more points than Wham and safc, could get interesting this.

In his pre-match chat Gary Neville said that no team six or more points above the relegation zone after 27 games has ever been relegated from the Premier League. His words, 'It just doesn't happen.'

Was there any evidence to back it up?

No. I've checked Statto and it seems to hold true except Sheffield Utd last time they went down. I haven't been meticulous though.

I had a look the other day; only twice in the last ten seasons have you actually needed as many as 40 points to stay up. Average to be fourth bottom is only 36/37 points. Villa/Wigan are currently on course for about 34 points. A win and two draws will probably see West Ham safe.
