Bruno
51 years ago, on the exact same day, May 2, in Amsterdam, we won the European Cup. Half a century later, Amsterdam is the goal once again. http://24.media.tumblr.com/12a6cb51fac0f7577b6e5df9bc7adeb2/tumblr_mm65nu82lG1qikp70o1_1280.jpg
Tooj
Always loved Robben, brilliant player. He's brilliant when he can be bothered to be. Bit of a difference.
Disco
Possibly the best player going at winning FKs when you're looking to close out a game/wind up opponents. See World Cup 2010 v Brazil. File under: Very good player but could have been better.
Tooj
Was class at his first year at Chelsea. They looked very ordinary going forward until he became fit

File under: Very good player but could have been better. To be fair to him he looks (judging on the last few games I've seen) like he's been working on the side of his game that's always let him down. Especially these Barca games. Worked very hard and looked less selfish.

Worked very hard and looked less selfish. I think it's safe to assume he (and his teammates) massively motivated by righting last years wrongs in the Champions League. Having a new manager waiting in the wings will probably be helping too although they were obviously flying pre-Pep announcement.

Flip
Did I read somewhere that Pep might try and sell Robben? He probably should, will get good money for him and he's near his 30s. Not been a rgular this season and they've brought in Götze. Götze, Ribery, Muller, Kroos and Shaqiri are more than good enough for those three spots and all work harder than Robben. The College Dropout
Maybe he stores them beside the 6 league titles and 4 domestic cups he's won. Had a 1v1 in the world cup final and missed a penalty in a CL final. The two biggest trophies in European and World football. I#m certain it crosses his mind and perhaps let out a tear or two in his million pound pillows.
The College Dropout
I don't remember him being terribly selfish at Chelsea. I guess you can't under Mourinho and he largely played on the left where it's easier to cross/flash it across the 6 yard box than shoot. He's the best player of his type at the club. Might not be the hardest working but he's clearly a level above the likes of Ribery.

The College Dropout
I'm far from Ribery's biggest fan but that's a ludicrous statement. At his best Robben would comfortably make a world XI, can't say the same for Ribery. Ribery's been in the side more and has had a better season overall than Robben but Robben still looked the more dangerous player over the two legs. Robben's the more capable player. In the 11/12 season Ribery scored 15 goals and assisted 25 and is a better team player than Robben. What on earth puts Robben on a level above Ribery? This just cuts it man, you are absolutely delusional. You make statements without knowing or even having watched these guys. There's no doubt you saw him play this week and based your comment on that. Better than Ribery? Are you kidding me? Robben at his best would make the world XI? Mole_Toonfan
Basically every Bayern fan i have ever met and i have met quite a few prefer Ribery over Robben and considering their performances for Bayern over last few years i can see why. Ribery is a key component to the team, while Robben isn't even a starter when everyone is fit. Don't get me wrong Robben was brilliant in both games, but that hardly happens usually because he's far too easy and predictable for good defences to stop which is why he was riding the bench before Kroos got injured. I can see why people rate Robben higher on here though.... firstly he's played in England and 2nd he's the more flashy of the two. How ever Ribery is a lot more effective, creative and more of a team player, the mere fact he was acting as a 2nd LB at times against Barca to protect Alaba says all about his defensive ability and often takes up a different role for the sake of the team in big games. Another thing that i think goes against Ribery on here is that he hardly performs for France, but for Bayern he's consistently one of their best players and just as highly thought of by Bayern fans as Lahm and Schweignsteiger. As mentioned before Robben is just another player to them and considering the consistency of his performances you again can see why. Also its no coincidence to me that Robben suddenly gave his 2 performances in about 3 years when it was announced that Bayern were signing Mario Gotze which surely means unless he bucks his ideas up he's leaving. Talent wise he maybe better than Ribery, but he has hardly showed it an talent means nothing unless you back it up against Barca he backed up but far too often he doesn't.
