He's an easy target. On the pitch to take risks and make things happen while those around him, totally secure in the starting lineup, play like s*** every week.

He actually moved on a couple of occasions and did one or two decent things. Overall, he was still shit, but there was worse around him and he didn't seem to give up.

He's an easy target because he's played terribly every single time he's been on the pitch, whilst in the mean time having a good chuckle about it all. The lad does not give a single fuck. I say this as someone who generally affords a reasonable amount of patience for 'mercurial talents' (which he isn't).

Agree with Ronaldo, he certainly wasnt any worse than anyone else.

This is true. But he hasn't ever been any good in the PL. That's the worry.

He's had about 5 games to be fair.

Yeah it's no time to write him off, but no point in defending his performance today either. Was shite let's not kid ourselves, no worse than anyone else it must be said.

I think it's attitude with him mind, he doesn't seem to give a solitary fuck, you see perez and wijnaldum at least manage to show glimpses that they're good players.

He wasn't though. He constantly gave the ball away and looked like he didn't give a fuck like the rest of them. We literally have nothing positive across our whole midfield, they are all absolute wank.

He was the only one working and moving though. When he had the ball no one would move so he could make a pass, he had no options available to him which meant that he had to take players on himself. The problem with this though is that people mistakenly think he's a poor player, selfish, or having a poor performance when he ultimately does lose the ball, as you have done. He's the only outlet we have. Ben Arfa had a similar problem here when Pardew thought along the same lines which ultimately lead to him leaving us, something which this very board and majority of fans massively disagree and are still angered with.

Everyone else was shit scared of touching the ball.

Well he tries. I don't think I've actually seen him beat a man yet to get a cross in. I didn't see today's game mind.

He didn't play well when he came on, he went through the motions, as the rest of the team did. The whole lot (I'll leave Elliott out of this) were apathetic of the game today and making up positives of any outfield performance is just wrong.

At one point he failed to control a 20 or 30 yard pass to him which a 10 year old would be able to manage; McClaren looked like he was going to explode. He'll not be starting anytime soon.

 It's runbish like, he doesn't even look like he can beat a man which isn't a great sign for a wigner. The laugh he does after he fucks u is hardly endearing either.
