@davidmcrossan: Sport 365 suggests #Thauvin would actually prefer a move to #Lille

Are Lille even after him?

Haven't bid according to those quotes from the Bastia chairman, who is obviously flushing out other interested parties. Says they will make a decision shortly.

You know for a fact that Ashley buys about 16 loaves of Hovis Best of Both when they're on offer. He doesn't even like bread, (especially after it's been frozen) he's just insatiable for the V.F.M.

For those who speak French (well Corse in some cases) or willing to go through the ordeal of Google translate, this is what the Bastia fans make of our offer: http://www.camperemu.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35976&hilit=Thauvin&start=15

From that link:

There was the issue of sanctions and attacks against multiple and varied the club and its supporters. had was the answer, there is no fire ..... let it pass sanctions and then after we did a lot of things, but hey we do not speak of these things also do not see them either. But you know more February 1, a short ... from strengthening security at the stadium as required by the league and a new lawn ..... We will trust in their work but that is what they will get? .... it's a little vaselinage this com ...

Hope that helps :thup:

Christ we are relentless!

Pards must have some serious s*** on Ashley.

IF this one and the sissoko transfer goes through what will our net spend be for Jan. Can't be far off what Man U spent on Zaha.

As a rough guess:

Debuchy (5.5m), Yanga-Mbiwa (6.5m), Sissoko (2m), Gouffran (1.5m), Haidara (2m), Thauvin (2.5m).

Take off the Ba price and it's a mere £12.5m net spend. Maybe we'll get rid off Simpson too.

That's less than a Fletcher, a Downing, a Bent, an Allen or a Henderson. A drop in the ocean considering the money we generate.

From what I can gather they are in debt and have been hit by a ban which means they have to play a number of matches behind closed doors, further hitting them financially. The majority seem to think 3 million is a fair price and will allow them to get some other players in, which they apparently need. A minority would want to keep him to build the team around for the longer term.
