After rumours about a possible departure of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang  to Newcastle published today in several media, AS Saint-Etienne wishes to clarify that the player, his agent and club officials have declined by mutual agreement all proposals that have been submitted so far. Recognizing the importance of the challenges facing the ASSE until the end of the season, Pierre Aubameyang Emercik has always shown a desire to complete the sports project at the expense of financial aspects. I know Ashley has been on drugs all week, but i cant imagine he would increase his bid by much, if he thinks we can get him in the summer for the original bid...

Fair play to the lad really, can't knock him for wanting to see the season out. Sign him in the summer.

This. If we do better in the rest of the season and our new players settle in well it'll only strengthen our hand then too.

Can't see this happen either. But no matter what happens with this or any other potential signing there will at least be some excitement for the rest of the transfer window as we've gone loco and you can never say never that we wont sign more players even though it's unlikely, this bid confirms it.

That said, im over the moon with our dealing in this window, absolutely delighted. Anything else would just be another massive bonus.
