afar Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 If you talk to Stoke fans they say they don't do the long throw thing anymore, the change in rules regarding pitch size has probably hurt them a lot in regard to this. as well as the fact that delap has gotten progressively worse as a footballer and can't get into their team right now. He might not have the legs like 10 years ago anymore but, he's never had great legs anyway. He's got that right foot still, though. He was still one of the best players in MLS last season (scoff all you like, but there is indeed quality in MLS). And he does indeed still have that right foot. I'd wager he's still one of the world's best strikers of the dead ball. He'll be fine in a complementary role at PSG, a team that will comfortably win Ligue 1 anyway.
