Been thinking back to the Stoke game in march where Pardew said something like "I think we are done" regarding relegation worries and also this from Marveaux http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8557181/Newcastle-s-Sylvain-Marveaux-says-everyone-is-relieved-at-being-close-to-safety

I think this, and post fulham the players completely switched off which is bad form from pardew. Just hope they can turn in a performance on saturday because we're on the brink.

What we are forgetting is that we still have a far better squad than West Ham or QPR. There's no reason for us not to get results there IF we can get the right players out there with the right plan and the right motivation. That's all it will take, and obviously no tinkering with suicidal subs from Par'duh.

That would need Pardew to go into the game in a positive frame of mind and having the team up for it, clearly that isn't going to happen. It'll be all negative and hoping to hold them to a 0-0.

Jesus Christ, what a bloke to have in charge.

We're going to have nearly everyone fit bar Santon, possibly Marveaux and obviously some squad players like R.Taylor and Vuckic.

He's been moaning about injuries all season but now he has a near enough strongest team to put out. No excuses if we're positive we can get the results.

There's no need for the full on negativity like. People cannot see us picking up any points but they think that Villa and Wigan will?

As bad as Pardew is I still don't think we've ever really been below them this season and I see no reason why that has to change in a few games time. I do think that we would be better off letting him go now just to shake things up a bit, mind, but I can also see the massive risks doing so would bring.

We are in free fall, it's all about where we land. Villa and Wigan are fighting.

Yeah, but we have a points cushion on both sides (Villa could cut that tonight) and they have to play each other. It's just incredibly negative to assume that we will not pick up any points from our remaining games but Villa and Wigan will.

Yeah, put it this way. If Villa or Wigan has QPR away and we didn't we would all be assuming they would easily get 3 points. There is no excuse not to go there and win. The only way that is possible is if we roll over and let Taarabt and Remy take the piss.

 I fear that we could go down but even with Pardew in charge the odds are massively in our favour.

Remy and Carroll will score against us...That is already written in stone. Well need two or three goals at Qpr and Wham to get the 3 points....Not looking good.

We made Southampton, Sunderland, Liverpool and even Reading look fantastic, why would we playing as we are, not make Q.P.R. look great too.

You may have noticed that we are the worst football team, with the worst defence and the worst away record in the league. Away at Q.P.R.

Parody indeed.

The pressure is off qpr now and that will help them...These little things are critical now.

Yeah, QPR are significantly worse than all of those. Plus, if we are all of those things, why are we not in QPR's place, with them in ours?

I'm hoping it goes the other way and they are already thinking of the off season. Really hoping.

Completely irrelevent at this point, it's about us getting a win at Q.P.R. And seeing as we are terrible away, are playing worse than i can ever remember, with a idiot who has lost the players in charge.

Well, not looking good is it.

I am slightly worried about this too. Nagging feeling they will play better now but there's no basis for it because they have been useless even after being all but down for awhile anyway. I'm hoping it will go the other way and hardly any fans will turn up and the players are on holiday and can't be arsed.

They got relegated yesterday. They're not setting the league alight, mate. They're a team made up of mercenaries who will be looking to protect themselves ahead of a summer move.

I'm hoping your train of thought is spot on. It's just more us i'm worried about. In the right frame of mind we should go there and bury them. But our away form, with Captain Calamity's tactical genius, i'm just very worried.

Don't know what to think at present, I'm shitting myself but five points is still a pretty big gap at this stage of the season. The most annoying thing is that it was effectively six points before the weekend's capitulation.

We're seemingly in freefall, but still have better players than Wigan could dream of and a moment of class from one of them might be all we need. I don't think anyone should be criticised for saying we're going to be fine or that we're going down. Either is perfectly possible at this moment in time. Sadly.

I have confidence in the team and the players, where this falls down however is with Pardew and his inept management skills, I just think he'll have us set up negatively in all but the Arsenal game where we're expected to get thumped. We'll go down with a whimper cuz we set up to not lose and consequently lose, rather than set up to win and attack the opposition from the off. Depressing times.

Say we got relegated our team next season could be this ..

                              Elliot

Tarvenier      Saylor      Good    Haidara

              Bigirimana      Jonas

Sammy                Inman            Ferguson

                            Ameobi

Wed see Sissoko, Gouffran, Debuchy, Mbiwa, Coloccini, Santon, Simpson, Cabaye, Tiote, Anita, Cisse, Marveaux, HBA all leave. Obviously wed need to make 2 or three signings .. but it looks disastrous.

I think that's probably a bit dramatic. We'd see transfers, but not the whole damn squad.

Maybe Gosling in instead of Inman and we still got Campbell.
