Pardew's take on Tiote's run in with the law. To describe him as being as thick as pigs shit, does a great disservice to our porky friends excrement. No wonder he's such a useless manager, the man literally is brainless.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew believes Cheick Tiote was only guilty of a "misunderstanding" after avoiding jail for possession of a fake driving licence.

The 27-year-old midfielder was handed a seven-month suspended sentence at Newcastle Crown Court on Monday after he admitted buying a fake Belgian licence for £12,800 and then attempting to swap it for a full UK licence.

Pardew said: "There are times when international players come abroad and don't actually understand the rules."

Pardew has said the club were right to ban the papers, scrote.

Statistically that is untrue. In fact 60% of the time he tells the truth every time.

If his lips are moving he's probably lying.

His top lip never moves.

Jose Fonte's missus might say otherwise like.

only joking, don't sue me

Pardew is protecting his player there. Simple as that. You'd slate him if did the opposite.

Or as he should have done said nothing, no comment as it's been dealt with by the courts. To say it was a misunderstanding is ridiculous in the extreme and tbh he deserves all the stick he gets for saying it.

What Pardew has said is an insult to peoples intelligence.

Exactly, why not just leave it be, he broke the law, got caught breaking the law and was duly punished. There was no reason to blatantly lie, treat us like window lickers and advocate a criminal offence!?

This is one of those 'over reactions' tbh.

Aye discussing Pardew in the Pardew thread, about what he has just said in his latest press conference that was today.

Maybe we shouldn't talk about todays press conference and what Pardew said in it, in this thread called "The Pardew Thread".

FFS unbelievable

TBF you'd also have to add another column showing total money spent to get a broader view.

TBF that wouldn't be a fair comparison either as there's been some dire shit bought by some of those managers for extortionate money.

Gah, what shit managers we've had

It's now been over a decade since we've gotten an appointment right with the possible exception of Hughton, and not a single one of our managers after Keegan have enhanced their reputation and moved on to better things through working with us.

Staggering when you think about it.

Other than Keegan, Sir Bobby and to a lesser extent Hughton, we've largely had a rough ride :(

It always pains me to know the last Sir Bobby knew of NUFC was the relegation season. For all the talk about the moral issues surrounding it, I would definitely advocate cloning in his instance.

You have to be fair to Pardew with that manager win %. He hasn't been backed in the way some of those managers were. Mind you just think of who he would buy if it was his decisions, like some of those managers were able to.

Obertan and Elliot  :scared:.....but to be fair Ba was a Pardew pick.
