That first half was uninspiring and garbage in the main, but in fairness his plan worked well - keep it tight, remain in the game, and then step it up in the final half an hour. It won't always work like that and Chelsea were poor, but we defended well and I think we could have been looking at 3-0 if it was Sammy instead of Obertan who came on near the end.

Well done for today, doesn't excuse last Sunday but it's the first baby step towards putting it right.

only thing we could probably do in the first half after the 120 mins midweek. if he went too much to early and we could have been out on our feet at the end.

We cant always be the underdog. Clearly it helps motivationally for the players, same thing they lose after going a single goal down.

Keeping their belief up is his main challenge. His record when we lose a goal is appauling & he only made up for it when we finished 5th with record CS's.

Well that and the fact that the bigger sides give us more space upfront if we contain them. Anita made a big difference to our attacking play.
