Froggy
Surely you know about how ridiculous George Best was though? Of course. It'll always get heat from some people going against the Holy Trinity but I just think Rooney will be considered our best ever by the majority. It could just me absolutely loving Rooney and his style of play of course.
maybe_next_year
I like the idea of this though, an all time XI for each team. It would have to be Barca for me, Messi, Cruyff, Maradona, Ronaldo, Xavi...that's 5 of the very best players of all time right there. Madrid would be class too. Zidane, Ronaldo, Hierro, Di Stefano, Owen. Best XI to play together has to be Milan though. http://i3.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/010/334/U-WOT-M8.jpg Good to see Colback looking well. Village Idiot
For the life of me I can't come up with a Barça best all-time XI. Too many players that I can't drop (Diego, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Cruyff, Ronaldo...) Also, Ney being Ney.

Go from there.

Tiresias
Just forget the defense and a goalkeeper and play them all, it'd be fun to watch
Village Idiot
I'll restrict it to players I have watched/seen full games in tape. Valdés Alves Puyol Koeman Barjuan Neeskens Xavi Iniesta Cruyff Ronaldo Messi I'm sorry for Diego, but I just can't break Xavi-Iniesta
Flip
Ronaldinho, Diego, Romario, Zlatan, Henry and Rivaldo off the bench. the strikeforce

Flip
Stoichkov, Eto'o. But at their absolute peak the top three for me would be Maradona - Ronaldo - Messi. But for what they did for Barcelona Cruyff and Ronaldinho with Messi. I know Ronaldo scored a huge amount in short time, but Ronaldinho meant more for the club. Village Idiot
I did see him play live. I'm old enough. I had him instead of Iniesta at first, but at the end I tried to make a "realistic" team, and Andrés brought more balance.
Mole_Toonfan
As I understand it Maradona wasn't all that at Barca though? I usually think in these instances it's better to pick players who actually contributed to club success. Would be like Bordeaux fans including Zidane.
