It clashed with the last La Liga fixture where Mallorca still had hopes of survival. Bit cuntish from Mexico imho. Find it ridiculous when clubs/players are forced to play internationals. Probably my memory confusing things but wasn't Makelele refused permission to retire? It was Domenech being ridiculous. Remember how much of a nutjob he was, man?
