SEMTEX
amount of passes doesn't mean the player is a creative outlet... Makelelelele and all that.
Exiled in Texas
Wonder what percentage of those passes were backwards, or an immediate return pass. I bet less than 30% were forward or positive in nature.
oldtype
Just saw a super-awkward beef jerkey commercial with Clint Dempsey and Stephen A. Smith. That was a life changing experience.
loki679
@premierleague: TOP 5 PASSES COMPLETED: 1 Y Toure 2255, 2 M Arteta 1982, 3 S Gerrard 1908, 4 G Barry 1870, 5 C Tiote 1824 http://t.co/gR0SdqvbV5 That just shows how bad we are Or that perhaps tiote is not the dog s*** footballer he's made out to be on here? Perhaps? And where did I say he was a dog s*** footballer? I might be mental but I don't think a defensive midfielder with no creativity should be our main creative outlet. Perhaps? Nah not you man just like he gets a lot of stick on here The majority of the lads on here, including myself, have their NUFC/footballing roots in a 90s side in which pure defensive midfielders had no place. It's no surprise that the reaction to such a player is going to be lukewarm at best. Compound that with the fact we look defensively solid and solid in midfield about three times a season and you're going to get a player that most regard as being pretty ineffective. Ronaldo has this right. In theory Tiote should give us some extra defensive strength whilst neutering our attacking play and depriving us of another creative outlet. He seems to achieve the latter without managing the former.

Interpolic
Lots of talk on the True Faith Facebook page about unwarranted abuse towards other members (Michael Martin's said he'll ban the culprits if enough people are of the same belief) - anyone know what they're on about? Yeah. Some kid was posting under a pseudonym (he was a mackem with learning difficulties). He'd started getting death threats and the like. His dad had to post to tell them he'd removed him.from the group and to please stop as he didn't really understand the aggravation he'd caused
Interpolic
Ah just spotted it, cheers. Not good. There does also seem to be a lot of people popping up in the comments accusing anti-Ashley/Pardew members of abuse and cliquey behaviour as well mind. I only go on there every now and again but the debate seems fairly tame whenever I've been on.

Love Kenny Senior "...there I was on Centre Court, i'd not even been seeded!" Definitely up there as the best thing about Phoenix Nights like. I need to watch it again, if only for when he rings his mam after not speaking for years to ask her a question that's on the pub quiz. That and.. "Oi toilet mouth, there's a child's bicycle outside." triggs
@Squawka: Only Nasri, Suarez, Hazard and Silva created more chances in the Premier League this season than Moussa Sissoko (76). http://t.co/dQa2mA55VJ Well, damn. I think people's opinion is skewed by the fact that he loses the ball a lot but he was the only one once Cabaye left that showed any drive to get forward
Interpolic
So Sissoko created 2 chances a game? I'm inclined not to trust that figure, based on my status as a person who possesses eyes and also a memory.
