Interpolic
Sherwood's great. He's a walking, talking manager from 1995. I'd take him in a second over what we've got now. We've came a long way from the wheelchair-bound mutes that occupied Premiership dugouts in the mid-90s.
AyeDubbleYoo
Imagine getting Sherwood man. Talk about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, only to find out it's a fuck off train coming right towards you.
Dokko
Imagine getting Sherwood man. Talk about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, only to find out it's a fuck off train coming right towards you. He'd be a refreshing change to Pardew, however i think it would soon wear off. In terms of ability he's a bit of a mixed bag, hard to tell from a half a season stint what he's all about, but even from that you can judge he'd improve us, he'd have hba in the team for starters. AyeDubbleYoo
I'd say (in terms of personality and how he comes across) he's about as similar to Pardew as you can get. Talks a great game but no evidence at all he can actually do anything. Obviously at this point anything is better than what we have, but I would still be really disappointed if it was him. Minhosa
Imagine getting Sherwood man. Talk about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, only to find out it's a fuck off train coming right towards you. Aye. Nailed it Ian.
Guest firetotheworks
Load of crap man. Anyone, ANYONE is an improvement on Pardew. Oh God, imagine if we got Sherwood or Pulis, uh uh God. Aye mate, we might win a few matches and try to score. Train coming towards you, my entire arse.
AyeDubbleYoo
I know anyone is better, I already said that. I wasn't suggesting we keep Pardew in case we get Sherwood. But there would be some managers that I would want as his replacement more than others.
Guest firetotheworks
So it wouldn't be a train coming towards you then, it would be a slightly more luxurious tunnel. I just need to get this right in my head, it's really important.

Ste
Load of crap man. Anyone, ANYONE is an improvement on Pardew. Oh God, imagine if we got Sherwood or Pulis, uh uh God. Aye mate, we might win a few matches and try to score. Train coming towards you, my entire arse. Don't think we should settle for just anyone, with the primary reason being that it's "not Pardew". Guess that this is the way the club has conditioned the fans to think, though. I still hold hopes that a good manager will come in. Pulis had a good new manager bounce at Palace then quit as he knew he couldn't replicate it without serious investment. Sherwood, I wouldn't risk. Guest firetotheworks
The alternative is Pardew though, that's the key issue here. That's the entirety of my point.
Disco
Man City were a midtable team when he was first here?

Yorkie
I'd be disappointed to end up with Sherwood, like. Just more embarrassing, egotistical nonsense.

Ste
Dougie Freedman left Bolton today. You want to call him or should I? Maybe hold out for Riga at Blackpool?
Yorkie
I can't believe you people. I'd still take him but he'd be right near the bottom of the list.
Guest firetotheworks
Definitely, I think I might be being naive, but I've definitely latched onto this whole 'even worse is better' idea and would be chuffed with anyone, even to our short-term demise. Hanshithispantz
Anyone who comes in surely won't be afforded the time Pardew has had with the fans or Mike which is a massive plus in itself. Pardew is a fucking cockroach.
