JH
Why aren't they doing anything about that? Surely against consumer laws? United operate a system in which season card holders agree to buy additional tickets for cup matches - although there are opt outs for Capital One Cup games and under 16s can opt out of FA Cup matches. The club say that fans are made aware of this before they buy season cards and by doing so they agree to the rules. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2930111/Man-United-tell-season-ticket-holders-splash-50-Cambridge-FA-Cup-replay-banned-Sunderland-game.html
r0cafella
Statue>contract. Correct but I doubt a statute to prevent this exists. Just another example of football fans being milked and doing the square root of fuck all to change it.

SEMTEX
Anyway, the MUST rajis already moaned about it many years ago and didn't get very far. http://www.theguardian.com/money/2009/apr/20/manchester-united-season-tickets The solution: "The club will give clear and upfront information to supporters before they buy their tickets, so they can work out the maximum total cost over a season, based on the club reaching the final stage in all competitions." Ryan
At least they're charging sensible prices for cup games. Remember they charged us £45 for the League Cup game down there a season or two ago. Disgraceful.

54
Thank fuck for that, it will be interesting when the TV right come round, Sky might not be as dominant as they have been, which IMO will be good for English football as a whole.

On the whole frankly I don't see this as good for English football in the slightest every club is growing more and more dependent on the tv deals in their income and if the bubble bursts then a lot of clubs are screwed. We'd be fine mind since we don't bother to spend the extra tv cash that has been coming in to begin with.

jdckelly
Ginola ends his bid to become fifa president. That lasted long deadline was today iirc and he needed 5 FA's to stick their heads up and nominate him (thus exposing them to the wrath of Blatter for daring to oppose his dictatorship) was never remotely possible just a big pr stunt
Ashley17
If any of you enjoyed the early CM games in the 90's hopefully you'll enjoy this that I've started writing recently https://cm9798.wordpress.com/ Most of my ideas fall over immediately but the 90s Football twitter account re-tweeted me so this one might last a couple of days to pacify my 100 followers

Fond memories. Regarding your player positions entry, Luís Enrique *did* play everywhere. IIRC GK and CB were the only places where he never played.
