Unbelievable
40 points is what you need to be pretty much guaranteed safety after 38 matches although anything over 35 might be enough depending on others. They have 1 after 8, so they need 39 in 30, or at the very least 34 in 30. That translates to 49(.4) points or 43(.0) points over a season. Last season WBA finished 8th on 49 points, so upper mid table is the kind of form they need to better from now onwards to be 100% safe. Alternatively, Fulham finished 12th on 43 points, so they need at least steady mid table form from now onwards to be even in with a shot of survival. I can't see them turning themselves around to upper mid table form, and they really need wins rather than draws and spirited performances to even have a realistic chance to stay in this league. Mentally, silly as it sounds, we have an excellent chance to send them down before the end of October in any shape but mathematically next week. Fingers crossed we do. Skeletor
I said last season that Mignolet single handedly kept them up. Now he's gone (along with their only attacking outlet) and they've yet to win a game. It's like something Ashley would do.

Guest
http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/still-only-three-wins-from-safety.825288/ Pretty depressing that they have to win the same number of games it's taken to win in 24 matches, just to get out of the bottom three...and even that's if the 3 teams above them don't win a single game in that time.
