Big Geordie
Can we expect Nolan to turn up there? Every chance, I would say. Perhaps in a player-coach capacity. It's maybe's why he's not signed up for anyone since leaving West Ham.

Peppe
Has this kicking-people-right-before-the-derby-every-season not been picked up on by the press? If no, then how the hell not? So obvious
Yorkie
Definitely increases our chances of going down, like. He's the best manager they've had in a while.
xLiaaamx
Still say there going down. We've all seen firsthand how bad Sam can be.

Wullie
Really hope Nolan doesn't turn up there. As for Allardyce, Christ almighty. While the rest of the Premier League (apart from us, obviously, and Pards, give it a while) tries to leave behind deathly dull dinosaur football, the mackems continue to embrace it. Ashley17
McClaren went up against Allardyce for the England job, didn't he? Seem to remember it being a two horse race at the time. Grim.
jukeboxromeo
The best appointment they've made for absolutely ages. That says more about their choice of managers over the past 10-15 years rather than Big Sam's managerial ability though.
Dave
Well that ensures at least another three points out of us.
Ashley17
Gawd, the time wasting and things when they go ahead. That prick Larsson will be everywhere. Just a horrible cunt of a manager
LoveItIfWeBeatU
Definitely increases our chances of going down, like. He's the best manager they've had in a while. If we go down that's 6 points they can't get the next season if they stay up. Also, watching Allardyce football in the Premiership or winning games in the Championship. BlueStar
Remember Sunderland away when they were waving brown envelopes at him and singing about his big fat head. Funny how it goes.

They were right, though, he has got a big fat head. I assume the fundamental truth of this will ensure they keep singing it.
relámpago blanco
Probably the best manager for them they have appointed in my lifetime. The football will be shite but they'll be midtable loggers at the minimum.
Crumpy Gunt
Still say there going down. We've all seen firsthand how bad Sam can be. We've seen how bad every manager of NUFC has been..under Ashley. Although Pardew looks to be a new man without the restrictions.
Guest
Did Allardyce have restrictions under Ashley? We sold who we knew would be sold anyway (Dyer...Parker), and signed pretty much everyone he wanted (Smith, Viduka, Geremi, Barton, Faye, etc). Guest chopey
If we lose against Norwich and Sunderland are on the big Sam bounce I really do fear for us in the derby

This is true but to be fair to him we would never have been relegated if we hadn't sacked him. We were alot better under him than the shower of shit we've had since pards' first full season. Ashley17
Can't say I agree, we were utterly shite once the honeymoon period wore off. Mind you he inherited the likes of Owen and Martins who didn't fit his system. But above all, he signed Alan Smith
Bad Mongo
Did Allardyce have restrictions under Ashley? We sold who we knew would be sold anyway (Dyer...Parker), and signed pretty much everyone he wanted (Smith, Viduka, Geremi, Barton, Faye, etc). He was very active in the transfer market, and then they stopped all transfer activity for some time when they did their belated due diligence. Agree with the not getting relegated comment if he hadn't of got sacked but I remember some of the football he played was absloutely fucking dreadful... I always remember that 3-0 hammering at home to Liverpool as the 1st one were I thought right this isn't gonna work out... Always something really unlikeable about the fat fuck too... He was a mediocre mid table manager who thought he was brilliant... That being said I'm happy enough he's went to Sunderland cus I don't rate the cunt at all... I think Nigel Pearson and Sean dyche would of been better appointments
Wullie
We got relegated about four managers down the line. Might as well say we'd never have got relegated in 08-09 if we'd not sacked Dalglish.
