We'll concede more too. Getting dominated by the worst possession side in the league. Well in The problem isn't starting four offensive player ffs, it's starting Henderson and Gerrard in midfield. Been completely overrun, and also, Cisshoko is one of the worst players I've seen this season. Yup the defence has had no protection. Villa have been free to run at them on multiple occasions. They should put Lucas on for Sterling and play Coutinho behind Suarez and Sturridge and move Gerrard and Henderson behind. Give Coutinho some room in the middle to create. Everything is just wrong at the moment for them... Yea I've always been surprised by the fact rodgers doesn't play 4-3-1-2 or a 4-1-2-1-2 (Narrow diamond). Neil Posted January 18, 2014 Share Posted January 18, 2014 I've been a big critic of Lucas in the past and while I still don't think he's as good as many will have you believe, the role he plays for Liverpool is vital and without him playing that role, they look completely and utterly vulnerable with those 2 goons in the middle. Gerrard is careless/reckless to the extreme while Henderson just isn't very good full stop (albeit he's improved in the past 6 months, and may continue to). He's definitely improved in all areas since his move like. Could be the better coaching, the better players he's on the park with or just maturing a bit but he's ten times the player he was down the road.
