Morecambe vs. Newcastle United - 28/08/13 @ 7.45pm (Sky Sports 4)

Recommended Posts

Though I like the idea of Good getting first-team minutes, if our CB partnership for the foreseeable future is Colo-MYM we need to be getting them as many minutes together as possible.

Glad to see MYM given the captain's armband.

I agree with the sentiment, had this been a "bigger" test than Morecambe. Rather have a fresh and rested Coloccini for the weekend though, and fuck knows what the pitch will be like.

There's a guy in the place,

He's got a bittersweet face,

And he goes by the name of Curtis Good.

His friends call him Curt and he doesn't get hurt,

And he'll vibe about the place,

Like no other man could.

He's refined, sublime, he makes you feel fine

Though very much maligned and misunderstood

But if you know Curt he loves the blurt,

He's ever so good, he's Curtis Good.

You can see that he's mysterious,

Mischievious and devious,

As he circulates amongst the people in the place.

But once you know he's fun,

And something of a genius,

He gives a grin that grows around from face to face to face.

Backwards and then forwards,

Forwards and then backwards,

Curt is the blurk who loves to muscle in.

That's about the time the crowd,

All shout the name of Curt,

As he's kotcheled in the corner,

Laughing by the bass bin.

Risky but the youngsters gotta give it ALL. If they fail to perform they should be shipped out and give rooms to the next generation.

Easy there, Pards. Stop being such an ageist coward, dicklips.

Gouff is probably our best striker on current form (that miss permitting) so glad he's in.

In fact, something that makes me laugh about these sort of games when we use squad players. Pardew actually uses a system that suits the players and puts them in more or less the correct positions.

Really? Look at their ages. They aren't really "youngsters" eh? Other than Good and Bigi, the rest are close to the make or break point already.

Wow ... surprised and excited. Centre mid is a bit scary, but I love Bigi and think he deserves a good go.

Really, really hope Gouffran has a stormer, and I hope Marveaux is on the right and encouraged to cut in, rather than on the left.

I think he will be. Doesn't Sammy play exclusively on the left?
