Scoot
I hope we sign the guy, if not only to witness the full-scale meltdown that would ensue, here: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/wijnaldum.1094838/ Comment n there... "He's very quickly becoming Pele now the mags are sniffing about. Reality is its the likes of us and the mags after him" We all think he's Pele. Not read that anywhere like but don't let facts get in the way of a good story eh mackems. Love the way they went from wanking over him signing for them at the start of that thread to saying how he can't be that good if he's signing for us. but that rule doesn't apply when he was linked with them because all class players go to s*nderland don't they? hahaha!! Sho Time
We should use Shane for some weird experiments. See how massive we can get him, give him absolutely tonnes of steroids and tattoos. They'll be like "ah they are sending on a tricky winger" but actually we release a massive, rabid beast out just screaming at people off the ball. BlueStar
Hopefully our new signings will be understanding about not being able to walk in the team because we've got to give players like Ferguson one more chance to prove themselves.
Mister_Glass
Fee agreed according to the Daily Mail (doubt they'd get a scoop - probably just speculation but couldn't see the link posted anywhere) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3153230/Georginio-Wijnaldum-invited-Newcastle-United-discuss-terms-club-agree-15m-fee-PSV-Eindhoven.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Get a thread up

Kanj
Would love to finally have a midfield and a team confident enough to not need to always have a holding midfielder dedicated to nothing else but protecting the back
mrmojorisin75
they'll have looked at depay going to manyoo for 30m euros and must think this lad can be good enough double the price in the next year or two especially when the new TV deal kicks in if they do sell sissoko for say the 15m to cover it then that'll be a 13m profit on a player who has been patchy at best assuming any of it is remotely true obvs

TRon
Don't know enough about Wijnaldum but a Dutch journalist (Michael Jongsma) seems to think that having a midfield that contains de Jong and Wijnaldum won't work as they both mainly offer a goalscoring threat but low on creativity. Not really a problem since De Jong is usually sat at home watching the telly on match days.
Mole_Toonfan
From what I have seen of Wijnaldum I disagree with that, I know it's the Dutch league but Eriksen and De Jong worked and Wijnaldum is similar in terms of skillset to Eriksen (not saying he's as good) Not gonna say he's wrong though, as he's clearly seen more of the player than I have. Yep. So he's 30m now, we pay 20m and I'm 1-2 years his value will probably fucking double

Methinks Mr Jongsma is talking bollocks. Well he's right insofar as they are both attacking midfield players who play centrally and like to get on the end of things rather than very creative forces. Whether they could work together I don't know, but it's not unreasonable to suggest their strengths are not exactly complimentary.

You Dutch wankers know nowt, probably why your players are on the first party boat to Shields.
