xLiaaamx
Kluivert was my first thought too. Was only 28, still think he would have been brilliant if Bobby had stayed.
TRon
All this talk of a passing CM has me remembering a ghost figure on the periphery of his NUFC existence: wasn't it Marveaux who threaded that ball through the eye of the needle last time we couldn't break down Stoke (or was it some other team?) for Cisse to score an easy chance placed for him on a platter? Wonder what he's upto? He's probably one of the best passers in our squad, shame he's not interested in doing any defending when we haven't got the ball. thomas
Other than maybe Keegan, would there have ever been a higher decorated player to have played for us in our history than Victor Valdes? Would probably be the most successful player even ahead of him tbf. Butt perhaps.

thomas
I'm sure there's loads of cheaper options we'll pursue. Unless LvG legitimately hates him enough to cover all costs just to get rid even for a little while

Ronaldo
I keep seeing him in TGI in the Trafford Centre. He looks like he's spent the last 5 years driving his kids to school and doing literally nothing else.
Disco
"We thought about getting in an experienced goalkeeper on a short term loan but in light of the transfer strategy implemented by the board we didn't want to give out the impression to selling clubs we were an easy touch so we decided it would be best for the clubs future that we didn't. Since Mike saved Newcastle we've played many goalkeepers and that is a commitment we will keep too."
toontownman
We need a Demba like striker more than a creative CM. We need someone that can and actually will successfully shoot from outside of the box and create something from nothing, whether that is a midfielder or striker I don't care. Sick of the years that have rolled by seeing other teams score stupid goals that win games out of nothing, a lot of the time against us. We have a clear inability or maybe willingness to do that. Maybe its just the way we are set up to play trying to either pass it into the box or cross it from the right wing but when was the last time someone scored a cracker from nowhere for us? Our attacking play feels all too over-thought and unnatural. That said we are staring to come forward much better as an attacking unit. I feel like we are essentially starting to look like we did towards the end of Hughtons reign with Barton there, very Right side heavy and reliant with our attack. And no Tiote doesn't count. Nobody
Linked with Anwar El Ghazi at Ajax. Quick Wise-scouting tells me he's a 20 year old winger, and that the way he runs reminds me a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo. That future profit
