Stifler
Cabella and Zouma with only Cabaye leaving would be excellent. No chance though.

Skirge
Where's all the Zouma stuff coming from on twitter? I mean LOL howay man he will go to Chelsea surely, already been taking to Jose on the blower. If he goes there, he'll no doubt go out on loan for 1-2 years. He might as well come here and if he impresses, we'll just flog him to Chelsea anyway in 2-3 years and he'll be in a position to get an even bigger contract. I wish you were his agent
LRD
Does the window actually shut on the 31st? The second transfer window commences at midnight on the 31 December and ends on the 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board. 31st is a Friday. Clubs open for business in January transfer window 2014 winter window open from 1 January with deals having to be done by 11pm on month's final day The latest January transfer window opened on New Year’s Day and already several clubs in the Barclays Premier League have done some business with Fulham signing Clint Dempsey on loan, Chelsea confirming the signing of Bertrand Traore and West Ham United bringing in Jaanai Gordon from Peterborough United. The window is open until 11pm, on Friday 31 January, as is the case for most European leagues (see below). Due to the fact that Barclays Premier League fixtures are scheduled on the following day, any signings on the final day of the transfer window must be completed before midday on 31 January in order for the players concerned to be eligible to play that weekend. In the previous January window, 58 players arrived at clubs in the Barclays Premier League, a drop of one from the 2012 period. Of the 58 incomings, 23 arrived on the final day, 40% of the total. Six of the deals in January 2012 were free transfers while 36 were players who came from abroad. Premierleague.com will be tracking all the confirmed deals once they have happened. Disco
Scott Wilson @Scottwilsonecho 25m #NUFC have discussed Cabella with Montpellier, but focus is on summer deal not this month. Talks with Borussia M over De Jong also continue. Expand Scott Wilson @Scottwilsonecho 24m I'm told #NUFC would prefer to do all their business next summer, barring maybe a De Jong loan. Might PSG Cabaye pursuit change that? mrmojorisin75
by the way, is it worth remembering that the new finance deal kicks in at the end of this season? so at the end of this season we get the first increased payment...lines up with what people like douglas have been saying about a shake up of the squad in the summr and trying to tie the cabella deal up for the summer etc. if mike's getting a cheque for 60m in may, what's the likelihood of him dipping into his pockets in janaury seeing as we're all but guaranteed safety? probs been said mind
Ikon
I don't get the Kurt Zouma rumours. All the french sites say it's coming from The Independent. But they have fuck all about us agreeing a price with them. I guess they are creating the rumours to alert other clubs. Looks bound for Chelsea.. Yorkie
If we're in the market for a striker I'm confused as to why it isn't Gomis. He's playing and in-form, for a start, unlike De Jong.

Most evidence points to a pretty canny policy to try and get deals in place well in advance. Caballa apparently for this summer, and a whole raft of players last summer which presumably because we had put the groundwork in were able to be brought forward. I'd be surprised if most clubs haven't already spent that extra £20m in the summer before they received it. That was what people were advocating we do last window after all. Of course next summer they'll probably spend the following summers money in advance again So I suppose it doesn't make much difference in affect, just a bit more financially responsible. Which may help us if Ashley ever fucks off.
