So the club fed everyone bullshit again about us having a deal tied by the end of the week, straight after the season finished. What a surprise, it's not like that has happened before.

Think the Perez deal is done they're just letting the lad finish his season in peace

4 seconds man..

They never meant one iirc, might have been Colback but either way it's still more bullshit.

Couldn't it be a deal for the young spanish player, Perez or whatshisname? Maybe their just waiting to confirm it due to them not having played their last game?

:yao:  or not.

Well no because Perez's last game isn't for another week or so, that's why i don't think it's that deal they were talking about. Actually there wasn't a deal, as i say it was bullshit, again.

And Sidwell played for a poor side and scored a very respectable amount of goals for a CM.

Do I want us to be signing the likes of Sidwell in an ideal world? Of course not. But he's a decent player who'd improve our squad.

Only ideal world round here is the shopping channel mate. Meanwhile, in the real world....

The last time he scored that very respectable amount was 2006...in the championship. No proof he'll do it again. He was in the last year of his contract and with his next move probably his last one, had the season of his life. Aye he scored one against Man U, but the rest were against poor(er) teams. In which he was playing alongside Scotteeee Parker who was doing a lot of the Tiote work which would be leaving Sidwell with plenty of chances to make a few runs forward and shoot, as he didn't set much up being an old, slow, uncreative clogger. Didn't help Fulham much in the end. We buy relegated, we get relegated. He's basically Gosling but older and ginger; Absolutely useless and pointless in the first team or squad.

Bolasie has 12 months left on his contract, as he's been linked with Liverpool today.

Much rather him than Zaha, if he wants young English pacey fret.

Too forrin and French to boot, no more dirty frenchies for Pardcunt

We've made our signing, these are the 'like a new singing' we'll get now. As predicted.

The Newcastle United youngsters that Alan Pardew will take a look at this summer

May 28, 2014 08:30 By Lee Ryder

Alan Pardew has pledged to give youth its chance in the coming months, here we look at the runners and riders eyeing first team contention

Goalkeeper Frederick Woodman of England celebrates after winning the UEFA Under 17 European Championship 2014 final match against Netherlands

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has already hinted that youth may get its chance next season at Newcastle United.

Pardew is convinced that five or six youngsters have a chance of breaking through to his first-team squad next term.

And while the board’s policy on not taking cup competitions seriously attracts plenty of criticism, the reality is that this year’s League Cup, which will see United start in the second round again, will see a clutch of young guns get their chance to impress.

Pardew wants the next layer of talent to start applying pressure to the likes of Sammy Ameobi, Adam Campbell, Shane Ferguson and Gael Bigirimana.

But who are the youngsters that are next in line to show what they can do?

Here we showcase the kids of United that Pardew could turn to next term

Freddie Woodman

Position: Goalkeeper

Age: 17

Newcastle’s European scouts have had a keen eye on goalkeepers in the last couple of years with No 1 Tim Krul attracting interest from some of the bigger leagues on the Continent.

But maybe Woodman can save them a few quid in the transfer market.

The son of keeper coach Andy Woodman was a real star for the England Under-17s as they won the European Championships.

He has already made progress in the club’s Academy and reserve teams, but the next step for Woodman would surely be a stint on loan while continuing to learn from Krul and Rob Elliot in training. Newcastle could have a real ace on their hands if he keeps making progress like this.

Lubo Satka

Position: Centre-back

Age: 18

Satka actually made the bench for Newcastle’s final game of the season at Liverpool without getting a slice of the action at Anfield.

But the young Slovak has made some fantastic progress at the club’s Benton base in the last 12 months.

Already a regular in the reserves the cultured centre-half is the type of defender Magpies fans will appreciate.

He has that ability to play the ball out of defence rather than booting it clear.

And while he knows the rough stuff as well after cutting his teeth in the second string and in the Northumberland Senior Cup, he brings with him a more European style of defending that has been noted by Toon coaches.

Speaking to Satka last season he said: “The defenders I like are David Luiz and Mats Hummels”.

With Newcastle having defensive issues last term and with transfer funds likely to placed more on the more offensive side of the market, this could be a big pre-season for the 6ft 2in Satka.

Adam Armstrong

Position: Forward

Age: 17

This Geordie No 10 could have the world at his feet if he keeps his own two feet firmly on the ground.

He hails from the Chapel House Estate and only six months ago was still getting public transport to training.

But he has made huge strides forward.

He’s already well on with England in the Under-17s, has signed a long-term deal with Newcastle and made his Premier League debut at Fulham.

The skilful forward can beat a man and has an awesome shot on him to boot.

Armstrong is capable of being a star at United and a fan favourite as they love to see a Geordie in the side.

After a handful of cameos Pardew must decide whether to continue topping up game-time or loan him to a Championship side.

Kevin Mbabu

Position: Defender

Age: 19

The Swiss teenager is one cool customer – and stepping up into the first team certainly wouldn’t faze him.

The Magpies signed Mbabu 18 months ago from Servette FC for just under £1m, but that was after he had impressed all and sundry at the training ground by snapping into tackles while training with the first team.

Mbabu is a solid and sturdy unit and having got to grips with the English laungage after and settling into the Geordie lifestyle, he’s ready to catch the eye this pre-season.

Olivier Kemen

Position: Midfielder

Age: 17

Kemen arrived from Metz last summer and began to stamp his authority on the reserve team.

He’s a hard-working midfielder who is prepared to put his body on the line for the cause.

Like Armstrong and Woodman he helped the Magpies reach the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup before going out 3-2.

That night Kemen scored a goal with his hand and ended the game slumped on the field after a narrow defeat.

The French Under-18 youngster is moulding his game on Barcelona’s Alex Song.

Pardew included him in several squads towards the end of last season.

One to watch.

Remie Streete

Position: Defender

Age: 19

The South Shields lad seems to have been on the scene for years.

But he’s still a teenager for a couple of months.

However, he will be expected to step up to the plate in the next six months.

Streete is a tough tackling defender who has had problems with injury.

Yet the Magpies paid good money to get those injuries attended to and Streete will now be expected to challenge for the first team, possiblyas fourth choice centre-half ifMapou Yanga-Mbiwa or Steven Taylor are sold.

Rolando Aarons

Position: Winger

Age: 18

The Jamaica-born winger is lightning quick and is capable of leaving defenders for dead.

Reserve-team regulars have been impressed by Aarons, who arrived from Bristol City two years ago.

In that time he has done enough to win a professional contract and could be the type of player Newcastle need to turn games that aren’t going in their favour next season.

Why not play them all second half of last season???

Its is just another response to fans moaning about youth not getting a chance.

The media people at our club are so easy to read, how anyone can fall for this spaff is beyond me.
