sempuki
Sky sources understand a number of Premier League clubs are chasing Reims midfielder Prince Oniangue. The French-born Congo international is a defensive midfielder but can also play at the back. Newcastle are believed to be monitoring him - but they face competition from newly-promoted pair QPR and Burnley. dat monitoring What does this monitoring involve I wonder. Dave
Perez, Colback and possibly McCormack in before the World Cup (think of the extra wages we're paying - now that's ambition), with Yanga-Mbiwa, Marveaux and Ben Arfa being actively touted around to other clubs. You can certainly see why they've extended the season ticket renewal deadline, there must be a lot of previously unsure fans convinced by this transfer activity. Skeletor
The board are actually listening to Pardew If this is true it's genuinely unbelievable. Nope seems pretty in keeping with sticking with a manager who lost nearly every game in the second half of the season.
DJ_NUFC
This keeps playing in my head each time I think about Pardew leading our transfer effort this summer: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VxQemMnVr4o/UwTOFu6BXlI/AAAAAAAACxs/ueS7CWd196w/s1600/british-eyes-only-thebluths-2.gif

Guest bimpy474
The board are actually listening to Pardew Only when it suits them. Let's see if they back him when it comes to signing a striker. Well they're backing him on getting rid of Hatem, Marv and MYM, and bringing in Colback (his signing i've no doubts about that). Like you say, it'll be clearer when strikers are bid for, McCormack if true would definitely be a Pardew signing imo.

Wouldn't matter if he'd seen 100 times live, as soon as he gets him on the training ground it's over. God i hate the man so much.

If McCormack is their idea of a replacement for Remy then the only logic behind it would be to give Pardew enough rope to hang himself. But even that doesn't make sense as it would be cheaper to sack Pardew than back his judgement over Carr's. Absolutely mental stuff tbh.
Guest chopey
Ashley loves Carr I can't see him signing any players unless he agrees
AyeDubbleYoo
Colback alone isn't proof of a change of policy really, despite being despised by us he's a semi-decent player in a mid-table side. Have to see what happens next.

Ronaldo
And agents' fees. That £17m we spent in Jan '13 was actually well over £30m, mush.
Jesse Pinkman
I may be in the minority here but i wouldn't mind McCormack as long as he wasn't our only striker, I've thought for a while he can make the step up, 8 millions abit much like.

How come when we sold Cabaye, the remaining wages he wasn't paid. They aren't added to the transfer war chest.......it's such bollocks
