NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

Saw Douglas say that Pardew is trying to get a "10" i hope that is true because we desperately need one IMO just as much as a striker i reckon.

All the top clubs have one.... Liverpool has Coutinho, Everton has Barkley, Spurs and Man Utd have a few and the top 3 have loads.

Desperately need a player of that ilk i'd say, instead of trying to shoehorn players into that role and it not working.

That's if its true mind which is most likely isn't.

If you actually watch Coutinho play and how many times he messes up going forward, and how useless he is at the defensive side of the game, he'd join HBA on the bench at our club under Pardew and we'll continue our search for another no. 10 with 2 perfect ones rotting on our f***ing bench.

Ben Arfa isn't a 10.... he doesn't have the off the ball movement to be one.... if he did he'd be starting every game, Pardew doesn't mind a bit less work rate from central attacking areas because he trusts Tiote and Cabaye to cover it he just doesn't from wide areas.

He's still stupid mind, but the reason Ben Arfa doesn't start is because he's not a good player in the middle and outwide Pardew wants his players to run.

I'd still start him on the right myself but i'm not Pardew.

Anthony Knochaert has RT'd a link saying we're interested in him.

Championship version of Ben Arfa, if the international class one can't get a game what chance does he have?

I'd take him tbh, like what I've seen the few times I've watched Leicester. Plus the board would see him as a much cheaper alternative to Jonas/Marveaux/Obertan as cover.

Leicester fans I know don't particularly rate him. Danny Drinkwater, on the other hand...

Depends which of their fans you ask... Some are of the mindset of the glass half full whilst some are more glass half empty...

Can something f***ing exciting happen, I'm bored with these last two transfer windows.

Apart from the anomaly of last January when we had no choice to spend recent transfer windows have been disappointing. Hope this one won't be but the signs are far from encouraging.

Surprised we haven't made a move for Gomis yet, he would surely be worth half what we were offering 4/5 months ago which must set off Ashley's 'businessman of the year' alarm.

Probably holding out to the last minute when they are desperate to get anything for him to shave an extra £500k off the price.

Every report going is saying his agent asking too much is the reason not us/Lyon

Always staggered by claims like these. Surely the player decides where he wants to move and it's the player instructing the agent to do the deal with Team x rather than the agent calling the shots and making the decisions?

Baffling that agents wield so much power that they dictate where their employer plays. Tail wagging the dog man, ridiculous.

Didn't seem to be an issue last season when we spent £7,294,018 agents, 5th highest in the league.

While we await movements.......oh fuck right off.

Why cant we buy first then ?. Because we have no intention of doing so unless we sell.
