Honestly I don't think Colo and Mapou were tested much at all against WH and Fulham so I still think Taylor and Colo are probably our best partnership.

That said, I wouldn't change a defence that's kept consecutive clean sheets.

Good to know you would stick them even though Taylor is back.

Would kick off on here big time if we put out the best Xl and still get utterly buggered.

not really, it's aone off game. a bit like saying buying shearer was a mistake becasue everton beat us 2-0 in his first game. things have to be given time and I'd still be fairly sure that would be the way forward even if it didn't work in that one game. if it had been given half a dozen games and looked like it was going nowhere then I'd think again.

So you're saying this place won't kick off because you have the utmost faith in N-O to be level-headed?

yeah but in their usual way of claiming their team was right and blame pardew for not training them right/telling them punt it in the air instead of passing to an open team mate/players deliberately playing shite because ashley pays them to be crap etc etc etc.

If Pardew picks the right players and the right formation, he won't even have to coach them.

Just sit back and watch the inevitable poetry in motion.

Even if we did then lose, it would be such a beautiful performance and exciting game, that no one would even make a fuss.

We'd all be looking forward to the lineup staying together and continuing to build on the progress.

And then next game Pardew would promptly insert Taylor, Tiote and Jonas back in for more defensive 'stability', and ruin everything like he always does.

The interesting thing with Villa is that they are at home and not playing against a Top5 team so  they may not opt for their super effective counterattacking formation.

I'll be happy with any of those except the first one, Sissoko on the wing is just painfully :anguish:

Is the Zog still playing for them? Cue the customary former-player-plays-blinder performance. Sigh. I do think if we stick with the team that we saw in the latter stages vs. Fulham we'll have a brilliant game on our hands.

He's still there, but injured.

A virtually fully fit squad?! I'm expecting big things then, seeing as that's been basically been the reason given as to why we've been shit for over a year. Oh no wait, they need time to gel don't they. Silly me.
