Brentford literally promoted Mark Warburton and Thomas Frank from within the club, both achieving promotion from L1 and the Championship respectively. It's a gamble but it's not lazy. Agree with this, Pardew was a not a very good middle man, he did want to do his best but didn't want to upset Ashley.
