Deuce
It's still irrelevant. Explain how then? Because he wouldn't be going there if they weren't doubling his salary. Everton's PL ceiling isn't all that much higher than Southampton's, if at all. And Southampton's arguably the better run club with a brighter future. Everton were just taken over by a billionaire NUFC is owned by a billionaire. You think their owner is going to spend that much money on bringing in a manager and then just stop giving a fuck and not buy any players? it doesn't mean he'll be successful doing so. There is no fucking way Koeman is going to Everton because they're a "bigger club" than Southampton.
Mole_Toonfan
As if having a billionaire owner means anything anyway, the league is full of them.
triggs
As if having a billionaire owner means anything anyway, the league is full of them. It does mean something when they've already been able to attract a manager away from a team that finished way ahead of them last season
SEMTEX
Southampton aren't run by someone who wants to burn endless money. They'll more than likely sell a few players and buy a few. I think the ceiling for Southampton is undoubtably lower than Everton's. Likelihood is neither team gets anywhere near it's ceiling mind you.
Disco
Are Southampton ever going to finish higher than they did last season? Unlikely Are Everton ever going to finish higher they than they did last season? Likely Makes perfect sense from his POV. That and Southampton are an awful bland being despite their recent success. Not too mention Everton were one of the best clubs in Europe when Koeman was in his early career years.

Not too mention Everton were one of the best clubs in Europe when Koeman was in his early career years. Means absolutely zilch. What Everton did 30 years ago wouldn't have had any sort of sway to Koeman. Football has changed beyond recognition since then. It's like saying Koeman wouldn't entertain going to Chelsea because when he was in the early stages of his career they were a 2nd division team getting 12,000 crowds. The attractive proposition for Everton is the huge salary on offer and a big transfer kitty, not because they were good 30 years ago.

Kaiz going on about Southampton being the more attractive club? Don't see it, myself. As Sem says. They will more than likely follow the pattern of selling players and trying to maintain their position in the table. Will they manage to get replacements that hit the ground running, again? I remember Carr and co trying similar when players left, albeit with a different budget. Didn't really work out. At Everton, Koeman was offered a shit load of money for the job, supposedly been promised £100m to spend and they are historically the bigger and more successful club. Seems like a no brainer, to me? Guest
I bet the all important net spend is nowhere near that. They'll get at least £60-70m from Stones and Lukaku.

Guest
Neil Lennon to Hibs. Seems a bit mad that he left Celtic to progress his career, and has ended up at a team the league below in the same country.

Deuce
Martinez would be a great fit as a national team coach somewhere IMO. That kind of football would suit him.

AyeDubbleYoo
Looking at the sack list it's hard to pick one at the moment, nobody looks particularly vulnerable. Maybe Pulis if West Brom decide to move forward, but that would have happened already.
NG32
I missed pardew, he is totally the next guy getting the sack. He will have an ok to good start then the melt will begin. The private dancer will be dancing for money.
