The audacity of Arne Slot saying he needs a summer to rebuild his squad

Do the journalists not question the amount of money they spent last summer

It sounds like bollocks tbh.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if he went there when they're on the cusp of European football at Bournemouth. It would be a sideways step.

I'm surprised he's willing to go there given the way Chelsea shift players on previous managers.

They don't care, few months work and a big massive payoff when he gets sacked.

Suppose he could ride his playing career and previous managerial successes into another big club role post Chelsea. Seems a waste of time for him considering what he's achieved in Football.

Alonso should be minted, but I guess the depth of mint is questionable.

Carragher is panicking and pushing for Liverpool to jump in, quite funny really. Also disrespectful to Slot too.

Same - it is ridiculous the job he's done at Bournemouth https://www.instagram.com/p/DXbpu2NDe7Z/?img_index=1

This insta posts sums up how crucial it is to have that sort of recruiting mindset. It doesn't matter whether you're 17th, mid table, or top 5 - as a club you're being negligent if you're not scouting in that price bracket and aiming to sell some of them for profit. All those Bournemouth buys were absolutely EPL standard, and did not break the bank.

Deemed not good enough by some of our fans but is Real Madrid’s main target. Cool.

Jose’s career has proven one thing. With a team full of hungry pros willing to do whatever he says, he can do very well. Personally I think our squad is far more suited to him than Spurs. Real would be a circus. They’re all spoilt kids. Really destroyed a winning culture by signing dickheads. Still would never want Jose, the football is too one way.

Sold Semenyo and signed a badboy in the same window - Rayan.

Kroupi? He's a bad boy.

Recruitment is so critical.
