The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Steve Cooper sacked by Leicester

Recommended Posts

Solskjær given permission to talk to WBA apparently.

How has he done as manager over there?

Two league titles and a cup in three seasons. Molde had never won the league before he came. Nurturing young talent.

impressive, big investment in molde? (comparatively) or just good old fashioned clever coaching and signings?

What the hell is Harry Bitter Redknapp blathering on about.

"Tim Sherwood should get the job and not some johnny foreigner type just because they have a sexier name."

What the f*** has Sherwood proved as a manager? Hate this push there always seems to be for caretaker managers to get the proper job.

Won the title with Blackburn so he's a better candidate, according to Harry.

Anyway, he's just bitter he got sacked and replaced by one of those 'Johnny Foreigners'.

it really is amazing how bitter he is. Heard this bit on football weekly and its a very good reason why Sherwood shouldn't get the job he claimed the players weren't fit enough for 442, but played them in a 442 formation beyond idiocy.

Don't be silly there's only two types of football, swashbucking up and at em 4-4-2 played by all english managers like pardew and allardyce, and johnny foreigner boring football played by suspicious european types like wenger and klopp.

Oh wait.

Not compared to the traditionally bigger clubs (Rosenborg, Vålerenga and Brann). More money than most og the rest though, but not visible in his buys. Best transfers through his time there are Joshua Gatt, Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Mats Møller Dæhli, and all were on frees. Sugar daddy pulled the plug after his flirt with Villa though.

Mike Ashley must be delighted there is someone around now who is possibly more of a prick than he is.

Not much difference IMO.

He probably had more to spend than Brann. Not that I've bothered checking. However, I consider his most impressive feat was turning it around after Molde were absolutely shit at the beginning of the 2013 season, languishing at the bottom of the table for quite some time, and then finishing fifth or sixth or whatever after that miserable start.

Of course, most managers would have been sacked long before he turned it around, so it might be less impressive than it seems.
