The Pl is getting as ruthless as the lower leagues. Less than a third of the season gone and there has already been 3 sackings. Expecting double digits now

Lambert's recent quotes about Villa fans having unrealistic expectations been in here yet?

That unrealistic expectations thing is fucking bullshit.

Yeah, Paul, that's right, expecting to maybe win more than four home league games a season - something we'd done in every single year of our 140 year history until you changed that - was totally unrealistic.

I can honestly say over the last five years, the expectations of Villa fans have been lower than at any point i can remember in the last 40 years.

That's why so many of them stuck by you for so long, you gigantic cunt.

[emoji38] You would have loved the Metro's interview with Jason fucking Roberts this morning. Was asked a loaded question along the lines of do you think Sherwood even had any hope of keeping his job at Aston Villa. Roberts said he was going well last season but then he lost Benteke, Delph, Cleverly and Vlaar in the summer. And that was it [emoji38]

At least we kind of know because McClaren has failed with England and isn't from down south he won't be afforded the same kind of slack by a few of the journos if he maintains us being shit.

Villa getting Garde then, based on the comments from their caretaker manager.

Hammers home how easy it would have been for the fat cunt to appoint a manager of similar or better quality through the wilderness years.

Will be very interesting to see how Garde gets on at Villa. If he walks in and nails it then Charnley et al are going to look even more ridiculous.

Torn about this.  Don't want him to do well because I want (and we need) Villa to continue to struggle and then Charnley and co will feel quite smug.  However, if he comes in and get their team playing well and moving quickly up the league and we continue as we are, then even more questions are going to be asked of Charnley and all those quotes dripfed out of the club e.g. lack of arts in the city, too big a club for him, didn't interview well etc will come back to haunt them.

What is this saucery? Being able to appoint a competent manager within a week and not hire the local village idiot for half a season and almost lead you into oblivion.

Yeah, but in fairness, we are the club who watched Alex McLeish get our city neighbours relegated playing eye-wateringly shit football, then poached him off them.

We too are idiots.
