I'd forgotten all about Graeme Jones' obsession with the split strikers when he came in

It actually worked until Wilson got hurt.

To be fair to the guy, he has been with them since 2017, is the one who bought in Beilsa, and got them promoted back to the Premier League, so overall has been a net positive. That said he has been terrible this season, not sure if it could have gone worse.

That they didn’t spend hardly anything on defenders is mystifying.

I cannot think of a worse set of players to put under Allardyce than that Leeds bunch man, my God. Think it is going to be a huge disaster.

Their keeper and back line are all a bit naive and suspect, and having them all just sit back on top of each other is just going to lead to a comedy of errors back there.

The midfielders and front line have all been pressing aggressively from the front and now are suddenly supposed to transition to a deeper, rigid positionally sound setup?!

Man ... I am looking forward to Allardyce possibly embarrassing himself big style. Guy is just lining his pockets. Not even gone to a team with a set of players that makes sense for what he does.

Two comments in to see a “if a geezer from Spain said the same thing…” to rear it’s silly little Brexit football head.

That is some of the funniest shit  The rain to set the scene is what does it for me. The players minds must have been so far away none of them would have heard a word of what that gobshite was spewing out of the PA system.

He’s not.

With a transfer window he can get players in to suit his style and do a decent job. Without it. He’s pap.

He gets a worse rap than his record deserves because he's a horrible bastard and he fucked up his biggest jobs (here and england) but to say he isn't a good defensive coach is ridiculous, outside of us every team he's went to he's made them harder to beat with or without a transfer window. He's far better than Gracia hence they will be a tougher challenge.

I think them trying to become hard to beat plays right into our hands when we go there. We're opening up shite teams who sit back for fun at the moment. Would have been an issue when Isak and/or Bruno were out but this will make it easier for us.

Maybe, I was looking forward to playing them as the wide open try to have a go team though

Surely they still have to try and win games in their position ??‍♂️ they are right in the clagg, draws are potentially not going to be enough

Knowing big shams previous their way to win games is to sit back and hope for set pieces/counters. Type of team if you score first on you will beat comfortably but are horrible to play if you go behind.

I’m sure there’s a clip somewhere where he’s yelling at Alan Smith over the megaphone to hit it long to Owen.
