They are about to post losses of 120 million, the highest in the prem. Does that class as well run ?

They've took chances on paper that should have improved them but didn't work out on the pitch. Their model is good in theory but it relies on big sales being replaced with cheaper and better...which is difficult to maintain long term... unfortunately for them they've started to get greedy on the fees and are now stagnating with a manager who is not everyone's cup of tea and is now becoming disruptive

Aye, the PFM is a dying breed. Gerrard & Lampard getting found out big time too.

Lampard has a bit more about him than Gerrard IMO, I’m undecided on him mind!

Random but the general level of coaching in the PL has improved a lot and the managers are a lot more progressive. From the 17 clubs from last season, someone liek Hassenhuttl might rank among the weakest 5 and he clearly has some talent

I would agree with this 100%,  after watching the championship game last night both teams ran out of ideas very fast and just did like for like subs with a lump it forward approach in the second half.

Lampard is just a bit more experienced. He’s probably the most PFM manager in the league. A really drab back 5 or a pretty negative 4 at the back but still can’t defend. He’s leaned into a team of hard runners and supposed good characters to drive them over 40 points.  Which has value but is fairly basic.

I can see Gerard following a similar route to try and be more solid.  But lower mid table won’t be good enough for Villa like it is for Everton and there’s no Rafa or owner to blame.

Gerrard does need to stop trying to be smart. Play a solid 11.  His best team includes the likes of Bailey and doesn’t include Coutinho. He needs to take the L on that.

Yep.  The whole 'romantic' notion of Leicester's rise has been one of the biggest load of bollocks in football.  They've been funded by a billionaire owner, who got his money from a lucrative monopoly awarded by a dictator.  The inevitable fall back to Earth is underway.

At some point, you'd think the socially conscious football press who've incessantly called out NUFC's ownership would ask questions such as; how does one become a billionaire in a poor country run by an absolute monarchy?  If your answer is 'hard work and business acumen', your answer may be incomplete ...

Gerrard is just Greame Souness mk 2,  getting jobs because of his name and the fact he did ok in a two horse race in Scotland, he then comes south and is quickly found out by his limited ability so he starts falling out with players.
