City replaced Pellegrini, 62, with Pep Guardiola in June, despite the Chilean winning the Premier League in 2014. Pellegrini joins fellow high profile coaches Sven-Goran Eriksson and Luis Felipe Scolari in China. Hebei's squad contains Argentina's Ezequiel Lavezzi, former Arsenal forward Gervinho and ex-Chelsea youngster Gael Kakuta. They sit fifth in the CSL, with seven games remaining. joeyt
For anyone who enjoys awkward post-match interviews, here's Garry Monk. Can't see him lasting much longer http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p047fv3z

toontownman
I think... he is trying to say it is about how the teams were set up and cancelled each other out. Not sure that message got through.

What an odd move, he is easily one of the best managers in the game.

lovejoy
Matter of time before pulis leaves West Brom. Trouble brewing
nufcjb
Pulis left Palace a few weeks before the season began didn't he? Seems to often fall out with his chairman. Did he leave Stoke because of the same problem too?
Deuce
Pulis is the quintessential 'turd that won't flush.' Produces the most dire of football, but because he somehow manages to avoid relegation, he'll have a PL job forever. Or at least until he finally does relegate someone. Interpolic
Pulis is dodgy as fuck, he's probably gone radge because he hasn't had enough brown paper bags lately for his liking.
Guest
I actually like him. He doesn't butter things up like Allardyce. It's shit boring but effective 'football' but gets the job done. This season might be one season too far mind.
Marmoset
His football is what it is and he doesn't lie about it, it's up to other teams to beat it to put an end to it. Wouldn't want to have dinner with him but don't hate him.
Guest
Plus that graphic of the Everton-WBA stats with the gif of him laughing is one of the best things I've seen on here.
Mattoon
The guy is obviously an odious twat that plays disgusting football but he doesn't particularly bother me, he gets the odd upset but he'll never amount to anything. He's certainly no Allardyce or Pardew dislike wise, just football wise.
nemtizz
Shockingly Valencia have sacked Pako Ayestarán. Marcelino the favourite to take over.

afar
Right now surely Hughes is favourite to be the first PL manager for the chop. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bilic and Mourniho run him close though. Think Bilic seems to be the kind of manager that has an instant impact, then has trouble sustaining that level, their new "non football" stadium isn't helping them either. Don't know what's happened to Jose, the last few years, the magic seems to have gone. Manure may not give him a lot of time to get things right there. Yorkie
I was having a look on the Stoke forum and it seems more-or-less unanimous over there that Hughes has got to go. I'd be surprised if he doesn't. They've got several good players there who don't appear to be performing and they've been woeful this calendar year. 13 defeats from 24 including numerous batterings by 3 and 4. Yorkie
By comparison, this calendar year Pards has won 4, drawn 6 and lost 14, with a -17 goal difference.
