AlanSkÃrare
Quarter Finals. Closest I've seen us win this was 2001-2, got to the last 8 again, seem to remember O'Brien missing a pretty simple header and Hasslebaink scoring in the last minute. We would have had Spurs in the Semis who were average that season, then Blackburn in the Final. Would have been so fitting for that team. Chelsea were rubbish as well. AyeDubbleYoo
Can't believe I've come on here and we are slagging off his quotes already! We won, tough tie we have ahead to progress, we'll give it our best shot, now for Everton on Monday! Course you can.
Guest neesy111
Honestly think we'll win. We're due a cup win against a sovereign state.
Incognito
Beat these and we will get Brazil 1970 away next round.
JH
Beat these and we will get Brazil 1970 away next round. Someone mentioned that he'd probably chuck this excuse in at some point: "I was a little disappointed after we played Manchester City in so much as their result did not reflect what I felt that night in terms of how good they were. “Their performance against Man United brought home that when they turn the heat up, they really are difficult. Neil
Wait.... is he saying he's disappointed Man City didn't score more against you?
Mick
Wait.... is he saying he's disappointed Man City didn't score more against you? If you try to read it in it's true meaning, yes. In reality, no, he just isn't very good at using English.

leffe186
Our most advanced draws in the League Cup in the past ten seasons: 13/14 - R4 - Man City (H) - lost 12/13 - R3 - Man Utd (A) - lost 11/12 - R4 - Blackburn (A) - lost 10/11 - R4 - Arsenal (H) - lost 09/10 - R3 - Peterborough (A) - lost 08/09 - R3 - Spurs (H) - lost 07/08 - R3 - Arsenal (A) - lost 06/07 - R5 - Chelsea (H) - lost 05/06 - R4 - Wigan (A) - lost 04/05 - R4 - Chelsea (H) - lost 03/04 - R3 - West Brom (H) - lost I know we're s*** and that but f***ing hell. Have we been past the QFs since 1976? Nope. Last time we got past Round 5 was indeed 1976. Small consolation, but look at Sunderland's record over the last 10 years: 13/14 - 12/13 – R4 - Middlesbrough (H) 11/12 – R2 - Brighton (A) 10/11 – R3 – West Ham (H) 09/10 – R4 – Aston Villa (H) 08/09 – R4 - Blackburn (H) 07/08 – R2 - Luton (A) 06/07 – R1 - Bury (A) 05/06 – R3 - Arsenal (H) 04/05 – R2 - Crewe (A) 03/04 – R2 - Huddersfield (H) I mean, that is truly terrible. Ours: 13/14 - 12/13 – R4 - Norwich (A) 11/12 – R3 - Stoke (A) 10/11 – R3 - Arsenal (H) 09/10 – R5 – Man U (A) 08/09 - F – Man U 07/08 - WON - Chelsea 06/07 - SF - Arsenal 05/06 – R2 - Grimsby (A) 04/05 – R5 - Liverpool (H) 03/04 – R5 - Middlesbrough (H) At least you haven't lost in round 2, I suppose.
